Features:

This evaluation kit enables the testing of Series 6 Quantex pumps. It consists of a pump drive, pump locking chassis, a high performance stepper motor, integrated motor controller, power supply, USB cable and tablet computer.

Pump operational limits (using water as the pumped medium)min max

Prototype pump operational limits are unknown for liquids other than water – caution should be used when programming speeds and pumping at backpressure. Always start low flowrates and pressures.

Quick start:

Assemble unit as shown

1. Plug in power cable to the power socket.

2. Assemble the pump onto the chassis as shown. Reservoir must be connected to the luer connector on the left. Outlet is on the right. The pump is turned counter-clockwise.

3. The pump has been pre-programmed to turn at 5rps for 40 revolutions. Press the power button to run the program.

To adjust the motor program:

Connect the evaluation kit to the tablet computer using the USB cable supplied.

The motor controller software is pre-installed on the tablet computer.

1. Open the TMCL icon from the taskbar

2. Use the USB cable to connect the evaluation kit to the tablet. Switch on the power to the

evaluation kit.3. Click setup on the toolbar: Setup>Options>Connection

This shows that the device port is recognised.

If not selected, select the correct COM Port number. Press ‘OK’

4. To open a program, click on documents folder: This PC>Documents>

5. Open required program (e.g. Micro-Speed, Revs) Adjust user variables: RPS, Revs, (do not adjust the direction (DIR) – pump must be run CCW).

6. Download new program to device by clicking on this button on the toolbar:

7. Activate the program by clicking on this button on the toolbar: (unit will self-activate program if power is reset)

For more information read PD-1021_TMCL_firmware_manual.pdf. This manual is located in the TMCL folder on the tablet supplied with the evaluation kit.
