Moving? How About Free Child Care?

The Child Care for PCS Program is intended to help relieve some of the stress felt by families in the process of a PCS move. For active-duty Air Force families, the Air Force Aid Society will pay up to 20 hours of child care (per child) in licensed Family Child Care homes on base or in affiliated homes off base. Families may use this program at both the losing and gaining bases. Families may use the 20 hours of child care within 60 days before the family's departure from a base, and 60 days after arriving at the new base. This program is open to all ranks.

Active-duty Air Force families with PCS orders may obtain a Child Care for PCS Certificate at the Airman & Family Readiness Center at each base.

entrepreneurial objectives and can help you make a successful

Priority Of Service

Have you ever served in the military or are you the spouse of a veteran?

Federal law entitles veterans and eligible spouses priority service in several employment and training programs offered through WorkSource. If you are a veteran or the spouse of a veteran, then we’d like to say, “Thank you for serving our country.”

Now, WorkSource is here to serve you.

WorkSource helps thousands of veterans every year take the next employment step in their careers. On any given day WorkSource has as many a 15,000 Washington job listings. As a veteran, you may receive priority referrals to those jobs and other services over non-veteran job seekers. Most offices have veterans on staff to assist you with employment-related needs. They can assess your skills and interests and put together an employment plan that is right for you.

A&FRC Discovery Center

You are eligible for priority service if: you left active duty U.S. military service without a dishonorable discharge or are a member of the Reserves or National Guard who was activated to federal service under Title 10. You are the spouse of a U.S. military veteran who: died as a result of a service-related disability; or is reported as missing inaction, a prisoner of war, has been forcibly detained or interned in the line of duty by a foreign government or power for more than 90 days. Total per-manent disability resulting from military service.
