As Audubon Magazine says, Questar is “simply the best.” Questar’s Long Distance Microscopes As the pioneer of “long distance microscopy” and stand alone non contact optical measurement systems, the QM 1 (left) has received two “IR 100” awards and the Photonics “Circle of Excellence” Award. With a working range of 55 cm to 1.7 meters (22” - 66”), it is an indes- pensible tool for laboratory & industrial uses. The long distance microscope line can be used for such applications as crystal growth measurement, thermal expansion, fatigue crack propagation, laser & electron beam spot alignment, among many others. No external parts move when focusing. Two selectable ports allow simultaneous mounting of two detectors, or an eyepiece and camera. All are supplied with supplemental optics which give an 8 to 1 variation in field of view and depth of field at a fixed working distance. The QM 100 provides the highest magnification & resolution available from any optic in its working range. The contrast in images achieved by this instrument in incomparable.
