Question 1; In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?I have used the same font throughout my magazine to keep the continuity, I just had to change the colour on my double page spread to make it unique and also so you could see the text on the background, I decided to make my contents page out of convention because I feel it looks better the way I have done it as the page numbers stand out clearly and you can see everything on the page. I positioned my artist in the ways I have because I feel it is the most eye catching and so the audience has a clear view of what it is they will be or they are reading.

Mast head – this appeals to the audience and stands out the most, it also is what people remember the magazine.

Main picture – this is quite important because it is the main feature of the magazine and will be the reason some people buy the magazine. The colours also stand out a lot.

Barcode – this is placed at the bottom of the page so it is easier for the shops to scan the magazine for the price.

Features – this shows the reader what else to expect in the magazine this will also draw the reader in so it is important to make these as interesting as possible.

Cover line – these show the reader what free prize you could have a chance at winning in the issue.

Main feature- this is important because it shows the reader what the main feature of the magazine is about and it will draw the audience in.

The QR code – it is important as many people use these now to look at the magazines on their phone as it is easier to carry about so putting this in is important because then it means people can read the magazine while out and about easier.

Photo – this shows the audience what else they can expect in the magazine and what the person looks like.

Editor note – this is important as the reader can see what the team behind the magazine think and what they do.

Features – these are important as the audience may want to just to turn to a certain article and read that and this way they don’t have to go through the whole magazine to find it.

Main feature – this is important to put a page number and what is happening and a photo so readers can refer to the contents and find the right page.

Article title – this is important as this is what draws the audience in, this is also the tagline to the article

Stand first – this is important for readers that may not want to read the whole article and just want an overview of what is in the article, other readers may read this to see if they want to read on.

Tagline – this is important as this is what draws the readers in so the quotes that get used need to be quick and catchy.

Drop letter – this is important as this shows the reader where to begin reading so they don’t get confused on where to start.

Main photo – this is usually over 2 pages to show the reader that it is a double page spread and it is important so there isn’t lots of text and no picture because it wont draw the reader in.
