Dell XPS 8500

I have used this powerful desktop PC to construct all my work, I used it to research on the internet, edit my documentary, transfer files and written work. It was pretty reliable and quick due to its high specs but also really easy to use without any kind of lagging so everything I was doing was going pretty smooth, when it came to using Photoshop and Premier it was really quick which was good because it didn't slow me down with my coursework and I was right on track. Only problem I had with this machine was that it sometime froze when I had too many tasks opened. Overall it performed very well with easy tasks like Internet Explorer and Microsoft word.

USB to device cable

I have used this USB 2.0 cable to transfer all my footage from the video camcorder and also from the digital SLR camera and Zoom mic to PC fast so that I could edit my footage and pictures right away and quickly without any kind of hustle or slowing me down, it performed very well it is very useful tool thanks to its 2.0 port which performs at high speeds so that all the footage and work is transferred fast but also that it fit all of the equipment that I have used which again is time saving because I didn't need different type of leads just this one.

Sony HXR-MC2000

I have used to broadcast standard video camera to record all my footage for my documentary, this camera has solid state hard drive and also records in full HD (1080p) for the highest footage quality possible which was ideal because all the footage was really high resolution which was good when it came to editing and cutting down the footage or zooming into footage because all the footage was high quality even after editing, It was pretty easy to use as it has simple layout of buttons, so overall there was no hustle while recording the footage or looking back from footage that has been recorded, only downside about this high resolution camera is that it was pretty heavy which was kind of pain because during recording loads of footage my should started hurting.

Tripod

I have used tripod for two things: - I have used it record footage in good angle without any interruptions so that its in solid state so that the footage is clean and doesn't include any shakes though out the footage but also to get rule of thirds when I was recording B-Roll footage and interviewing people so that the shots and footage looks professional like it does on real TV documentaries. - I have used it to take pictures with the digital SLR camera, it was helpful because I have took very stable high quality pictures which then where easy to edit later on in Photoshop due to the high quality shots.

Bad point about this tripod is that is was really heavy so it was hard to carry it around and constructing it all the time.

Clip mic (microphone)

I used clip mic when it came to recording interviews and doing radio advert, I have chosen to use it because it directly records interviewees voice in really high quality with minimal background noise so when the documentary was constructed it had really high quality voice so that the audience understand clearly

Canon EOS 1100D Digital SLR CAMERA

I have used this high quality camera to take really sharp and high quality pictures that I have used for my poster. This camera takes really high quality images which are crispy sharp so therefore they are good for Photoshop and all of the editing that need to be done. Overall this camera was really good but the bad point about it was that its really hard to use so I have struggled using it but that the only downside of this camera.

Adobe Photoshop CS5. I have used Adobe Photoshop to edit pictures and make them look professional so that they are suitable for my TV advert for my documentary. This software is really good with editing because it is professional software used by professional graphic designers and other industry workers, overall this software is really use to use so I have enjoyed working with it.

Adobe Premiere Pro CS5. I have used Adobe Premiere to edit all of the footage that I have recorded and combined it together to make my documentary but also I have used for the radio advert to edit the voice and mix it with music in the background so that it sound like radio advert. Overall it is really useful program but also professional, only thing that I had problem with was using it and getting used to the software and know how which function works.

I have used Mozilla Firefox as internet browser which helped me to gain and download archive footage but also inspiration and facts that were really important when working on my documentary. To get the archive footage and also other files like mp3 documents I have used mp4/mp3 add on that was installed on the Firefox, overall this web browser was really easy to use and I had no problems with it while using it.

Microsoft PowerPoint. I have used this program to construct this PowerPoint presentation which is important because it is important part of my evaluation. Overall I find this software really easy to use so I had no problems with it at all.

Microsoft Xcel. I have used excel to record and do charts for my results that I have got for my audience research task at the beginning of the project. Overall I find this software a little bit tricky to use but it is a good software.

Microsoft Word. I have used this program to write my responses for my evaluation but also when I was making questionnaire at the beginning of this project and also many more documents I have done during this project. Overall I find this software really easy to use
