What technology I used when making my magazine…

Page 3: Question 6

I used a digital camera to take the images for my magazine, this allowed me to take multiple images and delete any I didn’t use. I was able to download the images onto a computer and view each image on a larger screen and duplicate any images for editing.

Digital Camera

I was able to copy this image, and edit one to see which I preferred for my magazine. Enabling me to ensure I used the best quality image.

I used Photoshop on my images to ensure image and lighting quality. It aloud me to remove the backgrounds from images, crop images, and enhance the colours.

I used Befunky.com on many of my images to correct things such as lighting, colour correction but also to remove blemishes, shine and even to edit the make on up on the person in the image.

I used Microsoft word to create my magazine as it enabled me to use a variety of shapes and font styles whilst being able to freely move around the images, text and layout. I chose this programme over other publishers because I am most familiar with it meaning I could easily create my magazine

The internet allowed me to carry out research about my magazine genre and access images of existing magazines. Questionnaires, surveys and blogs all used the internet to allow me to set them up and provided me with valuable information for planning my magazine. I used font websites such as www.dafont.com to broaden the variety of fonts I was able to use and was able to put my own text into the font style and use it in my magazine.
