Using ideas from Q mag and Kerrang I decided to remain conventional by keeping my magazine logo on the left of the page. Also using a banner to further highlight the popularity of the magazine and to draw readers in. Using alternative colours and clear text with clear aspects of Music and alternative pop features.

Adding a price and Issue date is also using skills from real media products in order to make it clear for the audience and to avoid confusion.

Using Google Images, I copied a Barcode in order to remain controversial and to create a realistic magazine.Using Photoshop, I created a shape in which to add information I wanted to stand out to the audience of Addicted.

In comparison to Q mag, my magazine is very similar and the layout also. Considering how professional Q mag is, I felt like in order to gain that interpretation, I needed to practice some of the skills used by reading magazine reviews and researching different magazine designs to mix and match skills to create an individual model of my own.

Using shapes on Photoshop, I created polaroid picture frames in which to place my group photos in to link to my story and interview within the text.

I ensured I kept the colour scheme throughout my magazine to make it look professional

By altering the capacity of the images on the background, I created a more conventional identity for my magazine.

I used Georgia font to match real professional media products after researching different magazines

Using large letters to being my article created a realistic indication of an actual article from a magazine.

The use of costume and characters in my photographs imply alternative pop with ‘girly’ dresses and bright colours with a slight suggestion of ‘indie’ and unusual dress wear, for example: Top Shop and ‘Drop Dead’ clothing ranges mixed together.

• Snapshots of posters which I created in Photoshop after taking photos with a Nikon Camera to create more professional photographs.

• Use of Photoshop express to create shapes and text boxes in which to highlight important parts in the magazine.

• Using Q mag, again, as inspiration to the layout.

During research, I came across magazines who suggest competitions to their audience in order to keep them interested. So as my magazine is a music magazine, I have introduced a competition which has regards to new chart music and ‘exciting’ prizes to be won. The reason would be that I would like to see this in magazines myself as a regular reader of Q mag and Kerrang.
