To gather information for my music magazine I created a questionnaire on ‘Survey Monkey’ I got 44

responses 16 of which were in the age category that I was looking into so I have analysed, these 16

responses to help me to plan an outline for my music magazine.

This pie chart shows what ages that I’m am

looking into and what percentage filled out

the questionnaire. It shows that more 16 –

19 year olds filled out the questionnaire

than 20 -24 year olds.

This shows that more females have filled out the questionnaire than

males, which was expected as males are stereotypically lazier than

females.

This data allows us to see that music has become a big

part of a lot of people lives without anyone realising,

because 12 out of 16 people listen to some sort of

music every day.

The contents of this line graph shows what genres

of music are more popular with the age category

that I am looking into 5 out of 16 said that they

listen to all genres of music along with another 5that said they listen to pop. These turned out to be

the most favorited genres, but the question stated

genres and so more than once answer could have

been stated by the person in question.

This Radar graph shows that 7 people out of 16 neverread magazines, 1 person rarely does, 5 people read

them once a week and 3 people read magazines once

a month. Showing that magazines are no longer very

popular with older teens and young adults.

This allows use to see that music magazines are not actually

that popular with my target audience, this allows me to seewhat proportion of the population are likely to read my

magazine.

While analysing my data I discovered that

7 people out of 15 judge magazines on

their covers, 3 judge them on what’s

inside and 5 said other. This means that Ihave to have a very attractive front cover

to attract as many people as possible to

purchase my magazine.

A lot of categories came up for this question,

the most popular being ITunes as 26% of

people said that they purchase music from

here to listen to it. The second highly placed

was radio on 23% and the two least used are

Music apps at 2% and Kiss Cube app at 3%.This gives me an idea on what to cover in my

magazine and how to do it.
