Never push or hit the tip against hard surfaces. Always use the levers to articulate the tip—never bend the tip manually. Never place or stack other devices on the scope. The scope is delicate and can be damaged by other devices or from rough handling. To transport the scope within a hospital, carefully place it in Stryker sterilization tray 0233-032-113. Secure the scope in the silicone tabs. Ship the scope only in Stryker carrying case 0502-110-123. Ensure the vent cap is attached, or damage will result. Bends and Kinks Liquid Immersion Before immersing the scope in liquid for cleaning, disinfection, or sterilization, place the soaking cap over the video connector. Never attach the vent cap to the scope during liquid immersion, or damage will result. Carefully place the scope in the cleaning basin or sterilization tray. Do not sharply bend the insertion tube. Before sterilization in liquid, perform a leak test. Return any scope with leaks to Stryker for evaluation. Gas Sterilization Do Not Autoclave or Auto-Clean AUTOCLAVE AUTOMATED CLEANING If excessive force is required to pass the cleaning brush through a kink in the working channel, return the scope to Stryker for evaluation.
