Introduction

Yourtelephoneconnection,basedonthelatestIPtechnology,providesyouwithavarietyofadditionalandnewfunctionsthataredetailedinthismanual.

Therearetwowaysinwhichyoucanswitchservicesandfunctionsonandofforapplysettings:> Directlyfromyourtelephonebyenteringcertainkeycombinations.> OntheInternetviathecustomercenter.

> LoginontheInternetunderwww.swisscom.ch/loginusingyourSwisscomlogindata(usernameandpassword).

Connection nameThisnamecanbechosenfreelytomakeiteasytoallocatetheconnectionsandphonenumbers.

Connection/phone numberThesymbolsrefertotheconnectorsonthebackofyourCentrogranderouter.Moveyourmouseoverthepictureandyouwillseeatextboxwithinformationforeachconnectiontype.

Onlyoneofthesubscribedphonenumberscanbeassignedtoeachconnection.

Link «Edit»Assignthenumbersasappropriateforeachrow.Thesystemwilltakeoverthesettingswhenyouclickon«Save».

Incoming calls

Ifyouhavesubscribedtomultiplephonenumbers,clickonthenumbersthatyouwanttoreacttosimultaneousincomingcalls.

IMPORTANT:Thesettingsareappliedonlyaftersaving.

Only one phone number is used for both analogue connectionsIfoneandthesamephonenumberisassignedtobothanalogueconnectionsoftherouter,twocallscanbemadeinparallel,justlikeinallothercases.However,youcandefinedifferentsettingsforincomingcalls.Twooutgoingcallscanalwaysbemadeatthesametime,regardlessofwhichofthefollowingoptionsissetup.

Option 1 (default settings):Youwouldliketobeavailableonbothterminaldevices,whichyouhaveconnectedtotheanalogueconnections, / evenifonelineisbusy.Inthiscase,the«Callwaiting»functionmustbeactivatedforthenumberyouareusing,whichcanbedonethroughtheCustomercenter.Ifasecondcallercallsnow,thephonewillringonthesecondline,whichisnotbusy.Youwillhearthecallwaitingsignalinthefirstcall.

Option 2: Ifyoudon’twanttousethe«Callwaiting»functionandswitchitoff,theseconddevicewillnotringwhenyouarealreadyinacallwiththefirstdevice.Thesecondcallerwillthereforehearabusysignal.

Outgoing calls

Hereyoucandefinewhichofthesubscribedphonenumbersyouwanttobedisplayedtothecalledparty.Alternatively,youcanactivatethe«Anonymous(Suppressnumber)»function.Inthiscase,thecalledpartywillonlysee«Anonymous»insteadofthenumber.

Bydefault,thenumberfromwhichthecallismadewillbedisplayed.

Ifyouwantallnumberstobesuppressed,gototheendofthelistandclickon«Withholdownphonenumberandcallerdisplayforallphonenumbers».Inorderforthechangestotakeeffect,clickon«Save».

Call diversion

Usingcalldiversionyoucanspecifywhathappenstoanincomingcallthatyoucannottake.Forexample,youcanautomaticallydivertallincomingcallstoadifferenttelephonenumberortoyourCOMBOX®.

Ifyouhavesubscribedtomultiplephonenumbers,callforwardingcanbedefinedforeachnumber.

What call diversions are there?

Normalsetting Allcallsringonyourlandlinetelephonenumber.Youdecidewhathappensifyourtelephoneisengagedorifyoucannottakethecallwithinasetperiodoftime.

Directdiversion Allcallsaredirectlydivertedtoacertaintelephonenumber(e.g.yourmobile)oryourCOMBOX®.Youcanfreelyselectthetelephonenumber.

Calldiversion Calldiversioniftherouterisswitchedofforthereisnoifnoconnection connection

Direct call diversionAllcallsarediverteddirectlytothetelephonenumberprovided.

On your telephone

Activate *21 + telephone number + #(e.g.*210795553311#fordiversiontotelephonenumber0795553311)

Cancel #21#

Note:Cancellingthedirectcalldiversion(#21#)leadstothe«Normalsetting»beingreactivated.Forexample,ifyouhadpreviouslyset«Divertcallsifengaged»totheCOMBOX®,thissettingwillbereactivated.

Call waiting

Three-way conference

Callwaitingmeansthatyouarenotifiedofasecondcallwhilealreadyinacall.Theincomingcallwillbereportedviaanacousticsignal.Thecaller,however,isnotnotifiedthatyouarealreadyinacall.Youcaninterruptthecurrentcall(so-called«hold»)andacceptthenewcall.Whenyourejecttheconnection,thecallerhearsabusysignal.

Note:Toacceptawaitingcall,youneedatelephonewithaflashorcontrolkey(Rkeyor• key).

Accepting or rejecting the waiting callOn your telephone

Note:Thecallwaitingconnectionwillbeautomaticallyrejectedifyoudonotacceptitafter20seconds.

Inathree-wayconference,allcallparticipantscanspeaktooneanothersimultaneously.Todothis,youcreatetwoconnections(totwopeople)andconnectthemtogether.

Suppressing your own telephone number and name

Ifyoudonotwantyournameortelephonenumberdisplayedtothepersonwhomyouarecalling,youcansuppressthem.Youridentityisnotdisplayedtothepersonyouarecalling.

On your telephoneYoucanapplythissettingforeachcalldirectlyonyourtelephone.Yourtelephonenumberwillbesuppressedwhenyoumakethenextcall.

Makecallwithsuppressed *31 + the telephone number you wish to call + #telephonenumber (e.g.*310447776655#todialthetelephonenumber 0447776655)
