Kacper I BKacper I B
Hi! My name is Kacper.
I would like to introduce our
school.
The School BuldingThe School BuldingOur school building is not
very big but it is new and very clean. We come here for five days a week and it is like our second home. We meet good friends here sometimes for all
life.
The EntranceThe Entrance
When you enter our school you can see our patron’s
plaque with the name of the school, flags and flowers.
Our patron was a very famous bishop and he was a friend of the Pope John Paul II. We see it every day when
we walk into school.

Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński – was a Polish prelate of the Roman Catolic Church. He
served as the bishop of Lublin from 1946 to 1948, archbishop
Warsaw and archbishop of Gniezno from 1948 to 1981.
Appointed cardinal on 12 January 1953 by Pope Piouse XII, he assumed the title of Primate of Poland. Stefan
Wyszyński was often called the Primate of the Millennium.
Cardinal Stefan WyszyńskiCardinal Stefan Wyszyński
In 1950 Archbishop Wyszyński decided to enter into a secret
agreement with the Communistauthorities, which was signed on 14 February 1950 by the
Polish episcopate and the government. The agreement settled political dispute of the Church in
Poland. It allowed the Church to hold reasonable property, separated church
from politics, prohibited religious indoctrination in public schools, and even allowed authorities to select a bishop from 3 candidates presented. Karol Wojtylawas was selected in
such a manner.

Polish lessonPolish lesson
At the beginning of the lessons in the classroom it is loudly and restless. Students and a teacher are getting ready to
start a lesson.
GymGym
The lesson of physical education take place in a large gym. We play team games and do gymnastics. We often
play football, handball and volleyball. PE is the most favorite subject of all the students. And the grades are also
the best!
The Common roomThe Common room
Before or after the lessons we can spend
time in the common room. We can do different
things there.
We play the guitars or computer games, do homeworks, prepare decorations. It is also a good occasion to chat and gossip a
little…
The LibraryThe Library
In a school library there are many books. Students often help there.
They arrange books and encourage the others to read.
Unfortunately reading books is not very popular, students prefer playing computer games…
School canteenSchool canteenThis is the place where we eat lunch. The meals are usually
good and it is rather traditional Polish food.
BreakBreakDuring the breaks between lessons students rest, talk
with friends, eat and sometimes learn for the
next lessons.
At our school the breaks are very, very
loud and there is lot of fun.
School shopSchool shop
In our school there is a small shop. We can buy there a lot of food products. Sometimes the queue is very long and
the breaks too short… .
School tripsSchool tripsEvery year there are many
school trips organized by our teachers. These are photos of the trip we liked very much. It was on the farm. We could breath the fresh air and do
different activities like horse riding, volleyball playing,
sailing on the boats!
Every day we come to school quite early. Most people go by bus and some students ride bicycles, motorbikes
or walk on foot. When we get to school we go to the cloakroom to change the shoes for trainers. It is
obligatory. We start lessons at 8:15 and they last 45 minutes each. The breaks are different, sometimes 5, 10 or 20 minutes long. We have usually 6 or 7 lessons so we finish school at 13:40 or 14:30. Some lessons
are boring and some are interesting. The most popular is Polish, English and PE! Sometimes we don’t have lessons because we go to the cinema, swimming pool or we have a festival. There are
always interesting performances! After the lessons we can go to the common room or we go home.
