QQuuiicckk SSeettuupp && AAccttiivvaattiioonn

IMPORTANT Before activating your Endura GPS, you need to ensure that Mapyx Quo Desktop is installed and activated. You can download Quo from the www.mapyx.com/quo website. If you previously installed Quo, make sure you update to the latest version which you can download from our website or just go under Help menu – Check for updates. The Mapyx Quo activation process is as follows:

1) Run Quo. 2) Go under Help menu. 3) Under Help menu select Activation. 4) Under Activation window type in your username and password.

NOTE: If you don't have a Quo Account yet, just type the login details you wish to have and Quo will create a new Quo Account for you. NOTE: If you previously activated Quo, you can skip the activation of Quo and proceed with the Endura GPS activation. Once Mapyx Quo is installed and activated, you can now activate your Endura GPS. Your Endura GPS is pre-installed with Quo Mobile on a micro SD card. In order to start using your Endura GPS you need to activate your Quo Mobile and maps you wish to use on the Endura GPS via your computer (an internet connection IS required).

Step 1. Connect your Endura Lowrance device to your PC using USB cable. Step 2. Run Quo. Step 3. Go to Help menu and select Activation.

Step 4. The Activation Window will load. Type in your Quo Account User Name and Password. If you have not got one, type in your desired login details and Quo will create your Quo Account. NOTE: Make sure you then use the same User Name and Password if you make more purchases.

Step 5. Quo will connect to our server and activate your device. You will get a message if activation was successful.

NOTE: Every time you buy new maps for your Quo or Quo Mobile you HAVE TO run the Activation procedure for Quo MobileXT as well.

NOTE: It is advisable to make a back-up copy of your micro SD card. Once the Endura GPS is connected to the computer it becomes visible in „My Computer‟ as an external/removable disk. Use Windows Explorer and copy the contents of micro SD cards to backup folder on your PC e.g. Backup_ Lowrance_QuoMobile, or a filename of your choice. Quo Mobile can be quickly restored to the SDCard with this backup file if you accidentally delete the files from the SDCard. Running Quo MobileXT on your Lowrance Endura device

1) Make sure the device is powered off. 2) Insert Quo MobileXT microSD card. 3) Turn on the Endura GPS. 4) The device will boot into Quo MobileXT.

NOTE: If you insert the Quo MobileXT microSD card while the Endura software is running on the GPS device, nothing will happen and you will need to turn off and then turn on the GPS device to boot into Quo MobileXT. IMPORTANT: You use the Endura and Quo Mobile at your own risk. The GPS device is to be taken as the navigation aid and sensible precaution should be applied by the User. Always use common sense when using the device.

Step 1. Connect your Endura Lowrance device to your PC using USB cable. Step 2. Run Quo. Step 3. To Export the whole Project just click Export button in the main Quo toolbar and if you want to Export only a single route, right click on the route in Project Tab tree-view in Quo Explorer window and from the right click menu select Export. In both cases select Export to GPS device.

Step 4. From the Export to GPS device window select Lowrance Endura Quo MobileXT option and click Finish.

Step 1. Connect your Endura Lowrance device to your PC using USB cable. Step 2. Run Quo. Step 3. From the main Quo toolbar select Import.

Step 4. Select to Import from GPS device.

Step 5. From the Import from GPS device window select Lowrance Endura Quo MobileXT and click Next. Step 6. Import from Lowrance Endura. The Quo Mobile XT form will load. At the top you will see the GPS Logs and underneath your GPX files saved on the device. Tick the check-boxes of those files you would like to import and click Finish.

Step 1. Connect your Endura Lowrance device to your PC using the USB cable. Step 2. Run Quo. Step 3. Click on the Explorer icon in the main Quo toolbar. Step 4. Once the Explorer window loads, click on the Loaded Maps tab. You will have all your Loaded maps listed there. NOTE: If your maps are not listed, you need to load them from the Maps menu. Step 5. Expand the map view by clicking + icon in front of the map name so you can see all the map tiles. Step 6. Select the map tiles by clicking on them and using Ctrl or Shift for multiple files in Windows Explorer. Once complete, press the third icon from the left in the Loaded Maps toolbar. It will have a tool tip: Transfer selected maps or map tiles to Lowrance Endura Quo Mobile XT. Step 7. Quo will start copying the maps and you will see the progress bar. If you want to stop the copying just click Cancel.

Step 8. Once the maps are copied you will get a window telling you Quo has successfully copied all the maps. You can now disconnect the device from your PC.

1. ENDURA BUTTONS

Your Endura GPS can be operated with buttons and you will find the buttons on the front of the device and at the side.

Power ON/OFF Button /

Dim Screen on the Left side of the Endura.

Pages Button. Menu Button. Mark/Enter Button. Move Cursor/Move Map

Directions Buttons. Zoom Out Button. Zoom In Button.

1.1. Power ON

To turn your Endura GPS ON press and hold the Power button for a few seconds until the screen lights up. If a Quo SDCard is inserted the Endura GPS will boot directly into the Quo Mobile programme.

1.2. Power OFF

To turn your Endura GPS OFF, press and hold the power button. You will get a prompt window, hold the button for 5 more seconds and the device will turn off.

1.3. Dim Screen

To dim the screen, press the Power button whilst the device is turned ON. The screen will dim and a bar will be displayed which can be moved up or down to change the screen brightness levels.

1.4. Switch Pages

To switch between most popular pages press the “Pages” button. The pages are displayed in the order as follows below: Map Page – shows the active map. GPS Logs Page – shows the previous GPS logs. Trip Computer Page – shows the current time, distance, altitude, speed. Satellites Page – shows visible satellites and signal strength. Compass Page – shows compass to determine bearing and direction. Sensors Page – shows local time, coordinate, heading,etc.

Pressing the Pages button repeatedly will scroll between each page above consecutively.

1.5. Menu

To access the menu press the “Menu” button.

1.6. Zoom IN/OUT

To zoom IN or OUT on the map press the “–” and “+” buttons.

1.7. Moving Map

Use the Direction buttons to move the map in desired direction (UP, DOWN, LEFT or RIGHT).

1.8. Marking a Waypoint

Press the Mark button to mark your current location as a Waypoint. Note that the Mark button also acts as an Enter button, so all instructions in this Guide to „Tap‟ the screen can also be achieved with the use of this Enter button.

1.9. Locking the Device

To lock the device, to prevent buttons being pressed inadvertently, press the – and + buttons simultaneously. Press them again to Unlock.

22.. MMAAIINN MMEENNUU

To access the Main Menu press the Menu button on the device or tap the Menu icon in the right bottom corner of the screen.

The Main Menu is divided into three sections: Header – Shows which menu

you are in. Menu Items – List of items in

the menu. Footer – Show Map,

Preferences, Screen Power and Device Power options.

2.1. Header

In the Header the name of the current screen and a battery meter are displayed. You will notice that Grid reference of your current location is also visible above.

2.2. Menu Items

Start GPS - start or stop

receiving GPS data. GPS Logs - show GPS Logs. Trip Computer - Show trip

computer information. Satellites - show GPS

satellites and signal. Compass – show digital

compass. Sensors - show digital

sensors. Profile - show profile

Graph. Search - show search

window. GPX Files - show GPX files. Waypoints - show

Waypoints. Routes - show Routes. Tracks - show Tracks. Preferences - edit

application preferences. Shut Down - show shut

down options.

2.3. Footer

In the Footer the following icons appear: Map Page - tap to be returned to map page. Preferences icon - tap to access application preferences. Display icon - tap to dim and lock the screen. Power icon - tap to access Power options.

NOTE: To select the desired item in the menu section, either tap the desired function or scroll using the up/down buttons and Mark to select or tap the icon on the screen with your fingers or stylus. To scroll using the touch screen, tap and hold your finger and move it up or down to get to icon you require.

33.. SSttaarrtt GGPPSS WWiinnddooww

Under Start GPS Window you can start and stop receiving a GPS signal. You will have two options: Start NEW. No Logging. Back.

3.1. Start NEW

To start a new GPS Log tap the Start New option. Quo Mobile will start receiving a GPS signal and a new Log will be created.

3.2. No Logging

Select this option to start receiving a GPS signal if you do not want to create a Log of your travelled Track.

NOTE: To continue a previously started Log, go to GPS Logs window and select the Log you would like to continue. In the Start GPS Window select Continue Loaded option. Tapping this option will start the GPS and continue the selected GPS Log. Once you start receiving a GPS signal the Start GPS menu item will change to Stop GPS. Tapping this option will stop your GPS receiving a GPS signal and ends the Log.

3.3. Pause Logging

To pause the logging tap the GPS Signal icon on the map screen (located at the top-left of the map screen).

44.. GGPPSS LLOOGGSS

A GPS Log is a record of where you have been and can be exported to Quo desktop for review. In the GPS Log window a list of all the Logs will be displayed. They will be listed Alphabetically if you rename them; numerically if you don‟t. NOTE: If a Log is already loaded it will have a Green Tick icon.

4.1. Tapping Loaded GPS Log

When you tap the Loaded Log, the following options appear: Unload - selecting this will

unload loaded Log. Info - selecting this will

show the number of points in Log, total distance and total time. NOTE: once the Log is loaded you can preview more information under the Trip Computer window.

Profile - selecting this it will show the profile of loaded Log. Go to Start - it will move the map to the start Waypoint of the loaded Log. Go to End - it will move the map to the end Waypoint of the loaded Log. Take Me Back - navigate to GPS Log backwards.

NOTE: Once the Log is loaded you can preview more information under the Trip Computer.

4.2. Tapping unloaded GPS Log

When tapping the unloaded GPS Log will display these options: Load - this will load the GPS

Log. NOTE: if you have other GPS Log already loaded it will save the previously loaded one and Load the selected one.

Rename - renames the selected GPS Log.

Delete - deletes the selected GPS Log.

Back - returns to GPS Logs window.

Information about GPS Logs can be previewed with this function. If your GPS is active it will show the information about the current GPS Log in-progress. If your GPS is not active, it will show information about the current Loaded GPS Log information. If nothing is selected or active, N/A will be displayed.

Total time - total time from starting the GPS Log. Total distance - total distance from starting the GPS Log. Current Altitude. Current Speed. Moving Time - cumulative moving time in a GPS Log. Stopped Time - cumulative stopped time in a GPS Log, only recorded when

you have GPS on and not moving. Minimum Altitude. Average Altitude. Maximum Speed. Average Speed. Local Time. Sunrise/Sunset. Distance to Target Point. Time to Target Point. Distance to Destination. Time to Destination.

NOTE: To change the units for information under Trip Computer go to Application Preferences.

Under the Satellites window the current satellites and strength of the signal will be displayed. If you don't have a GPS Fix you will see No Valid GPS Fix displayed. If this occurs move to a location with a clearer view of the sky and try again. The PDOP is the positional accuracy of the current GPS signal.

Under the Compass window an electronic compass is displayed. It will show the direction to north and display your current heading in degrees.

7.1. Calibration

To calibrate your compass tap on the compass image and hold down until you get the calibration page. Follow the instructions on how to calibrate it.

The Position Info window shows relevant information about your current position. It includes: Local Time. Coordinate. Heading. GPS Altitude. DTM Altitude. Barometric Altitude (only

Safari and Sierra). Distance to Target Point. Distance to Destination. Time to Destination.

8.1. Calibration

Press the Calibrate option on the Position Info page to calibrate the sensors. If you know the Altitude of your current location, choose Enter Manually and enter the height in meters. NOTE: The Barometric Altimeter needs to be calibrated every time you take your device on a walk and calibrated at know heights throughout the day (where possible) for it to give you accurate readings. It is also advisable to calibrate Compass on regular basis, though this needs to be done less frequently then Altimeter. Calibrate the compass outside and away from buildings.

In profile window you can preview the profile of your Log, Route or Track, If you have a “live” GPS Log running Quo Mobile will generate profile in real-time. To preview the Profile of a Log, Route or a Track just go to Log, Track or Route window select the Log, Route or Track from which you would like to see the profile, tap on it and from Options select Profile.

In the profile window you will the profile of your selected Log, Route or Track along with information: X min/max Y min/max Centre Point of screen X/Y

The profile is dynamic, so if you would like to preview certain point on the profile zoom in and centre the point to preview information about that point. For Zooming you can use the device buttons or just slide up and down with your finger. The same goes for moving left or right. Use the buttons or just use the finger to drag it left or right. You can press the Mark key at any t time and it will position the map to the point selected from the profile. If the Route has point labels turned of they will also be visible on the Profile.

Under Search window you can search through either of two pre-loaded databases: the OS Gazetteer or the OS Counties, as well as search for any chosen co-ordinate you type and enter.

10.1. Searching for OS Gazetteer entity

Tap OS Gazetteer option and the input field appears for the query. Type the name and once happy with the search string tap the Green Tick icon in left lower corner. Quo will search and display the search result window.

In the search result window a list of all search results appears. Tap a single search result to get more options. You can: Show on Map - it will centre

the map to resultant item. Add to Waypoints - it will

add the resultant location to Waypoints.

Or tap Cancel to return back to search result list.

10.2. Searching for OS County entity

Tap OS County option and input field appears for the query. Once happy with the search string tap the Green Tick icon in left lower corner. Quo will search and display the search result window. In the search result window a list of all search results appears. Tap a search result to get more options. You can: Show on Map - it will centre the map to the selected item. Add to Waypoints - it will add the result location to Waypoints. Or tap Cancel to return back to search result list.

Tap the Co-ordinate option and input field appears for the query. Once happy with the search string tap the Green Tick icon in left lower corner. Quo will centre the map screen on the coordinate provided.

Note that GPX is the common terminology used for standard GPS file and end with the suffix “.GPX”. The GPX Files window is where all GPX files on the device are managed. Quo Mobile can handle multiple GPX Files and you can store as many as you like on your device. In the GPX Files window a list of all GPX files on the GPS is stored. All GPX files are stored in QuoMobileXT/GPX folder.

11.1. Creating NEW GPX file

When creating a Route or Waypoint from within your device (section 12&13), you will need to create a new GPX file (or load existing one) for the data to be written to. From the Main Menu, select GPX Files. From here you can either create a New GPX file or select an existing one. If you create a new file, rename it to something relevant. Press Green Tick icon in the left lower corner and Quo Mobile will create new blank GPX File which will appear in the list of GPX files.

11.2. Loaded/unloaded GPX file

You can load or unload any GPX file. A Loaded GPX file means every Route or Waypoint you draw will be added to the loaded GPX file. NOTE: GPS Logs are not automatically added to the loaded GPX file. Quo Mobile handles these separately. So, if you the device crashes or lose power you will never lose the data which was logged.

11.3. Unloaded GPX File Options

When you tap on the Unloaded GPS file the following options appear: Load - it will load the selected GPX and save previously loaded one. Rename - you can rename selected GPX file. Delete - delete the selected GPX file. Back - return to GPX files list.

11.4. Loaded GPX File Options

When you tap on the Loaded GPS file the following options appear: Save - it will save the all the amendments to the GPX file. NOTE: when

you power off the GPS or load different GPX Quo Mobile files, the GPS will automatically save the amendments to the current GPX file.

Save As - save GPX file as a new file. Unload - it unloads the selected GPX file. Info - shows the information about the GPX File. Information consists of

number of Waypoints, Routes Tracks, Areas there are in a GPX file. Back - returns you back to the GPX Files list.

Under Waypoints window all your Waypoints are stored. Waypoints are stored in the GPX File which is currently loaded. Once the Waypoints window loads you will see a list of all your Waypoints.

12.1 Creating New Waypoint

Tap the New/Edit option under the Waypoint window. You will be transferred to a map where you can add new Waypoints. To add new Waypoint you can use the directions buttons to position the Red Rectangle with + in the centre. Pressing the Mark key it will position the Waypoint on that Waypoint. Alternatively, you can drag the Rectangle to the desired location with your finger and then press the

at the top of the screen to mark a Waypoint.

12.1.1 Creating New Waypoint from Coordinate

In the Waypoint window click From Coordinate option. You will get a window where you type in the coordinate in the system you have set under Preferences.

Once happy with the coordinate press in the left lower corner to add the coordinate.

12.2 Moving the Waypoint

If you would like to move the selected Waypoint to a different position, place the + in the Rectangle on a Waypoint. It will change it's colour to Blue. Now press the

at the left top corner of the screen. Now drag the Rectangle or use the Direction buttons to place it on a different position. Once happy with the new

position, press the again in the left upper corner of the screen and your Waypoint will be moved to a selected position.

12.3 Deleting the Waypoint

If you would like to delete the selected Waypoint, place the + in the Rectangle on a Waypoint. It will change it's colour to Blue. Now press the Mark button or the

in the upper left corner of the screen. It will ask you to delete the Waypoint, confirm and the Waypoint will be deleted.

12.4 Waypoint Options

Tapping the Waypoint will bring the options for each Waypoint. Each Waypoint has the following options: Symbol - here you select the

image symbol for your Waypoint.

Rename - here you can rename the Waypoint.

Delete - deletes the selected Waypoint.

Info - Information about the selected Waypoint (DTM Altitude, Distance & Heading to next Waypoint, Distance & Heading from map centre, Distance & Heading from GPS position).

Go To - centres the map to the Waypoint position. Navigate TO - navigates you to selected Waypoint. Back – goes back to Waypoint List window.

Under the Routes window you will see the list of routes in the loaded GPX file. If there isn‟t any Create New option will appear.

13.1. Creating New Route

To start creating a new Route, tap the New option under Routes Window. Type in new name in Name New Route window. Then

press the in lower left corner. You will be transferred to map screen, where in the upper left corner two icons appear:

- add a Route Waypoint.

- delete a Route Waypoint.

In the lower right corner you will see a Green Tick icon. Tapping that icon closes the Route drawing and you can see your Route on the map.

13.2. Drawing a Route

In the centre of the screen you will see the Red Rectangle with the + in the middle. The + marks the Waypoint where you will add the next Route Waypoint. You can move the Rectangle either by the directions buttons or by using your finger and dragging the Rectangle to your desired location. Once happy with the location of the next Route Waypoint press the Mark button or tap the Green plus icon in upper left corner of the screen. A New Waypoint for the Route will be added and the Route displayed. Now move the Rectangle to a position where you want to place the next Waypoint for the Route and repeat the procedure. Repeat until your Route is completed. NOTE: If you would like to pan the map, use your finger and tap on the map outside the Rectangle and drag. The Map will pan in desired direction.

13.3. Deleting a Route Point

To delete a Route Waypoint, place the centre of the Rectangle to the Waypoint you would like to delete. Its colour will change from red to Blue. Now press Mark button or

press icon in the upper left corner of the screen.

13.4 Moving the Route Point

If you would like to move the selected Route Waypoint to a different position, place the + in the big Rectangle on the selected Route Waypoint. It will change

colour to Blue. Now press the at the left top corner of the screen. Now drag the Rectangle or use the buttons to place it on a different position. Once happy

with the new position press the in the left upper corner of the screen and your Route Waypoint will be moved to a selected position.

13.5. Adding a Route Point

To add a Route Waypoint between to Route Waypoints in your existing Route, position the middle of the Rectangle over a Route line between two Waypoints. It

will change its colour to Green, now press the Mark button or in the upper left corner of the screen to insert a Route Waypoint.

13.6. Route Options

In the Routes window you can Tap/Enter on any of the Routes in the list to access the Route Options. You have the following Options: Edit - it will transfer you

back to map screen where you will be able to edit the Route.

Rename - you can rename the selected Route.

Delete - it will delete the selected Route.

Simplify - simplifies the Route, reducing the unwanted route points.

Reverse - reverses the order of the route points

Points - it will show the list of Route points.

Profile - it will show the Route profile. NOTE: this is not the GPS profile. Quo Mobile has inbuilt OS DTM model which is used to draw a Route profile.

Properties - you can change the Route properties as follows: Visible - turn on/off visibility of Route on map. Line Width - change the width of Route line on map. Line colour - change the colour of Route line on map. Points width - change the width of the Route Waypoints. Points colour - change the colour of Route Waypoints. Back - return back to Route menu. Go to Start - centres the map to the first Waypoint of the Route. Go to End - centres the map to the last Waypoint of the Route. Follow Route - navigate to route points. Back - returns back to Routes Window.

Under Tracks Window all your information regarding Track in the Loaded GPX file is stored. You cannot draw Track, but you can add them from Quo. Once the Tracks Window loads you will see a list of all the tracks in the Loaded GPX file.

14.1 Track Options

By selecting a Track you will get Track Options: Rename - you can rename the selected Track. Delete - it will delete the selected Track. Simplify - simplifies the Track reducing the unwanted Track points. Reverse - reverses the order of Track points. Info - show Track Info. Profile - it will show the Track profile. NOTE: this is not the GPS profile.

Quo Mobile has an in-built OS DTM (Digital Terrain Model) which is used to draw a Track profile.

Properties - you can change the Track properties as follows: Visible - turn on/off visibility of the Track on map. Line Width - change the width of Track line on map. Line colour - change the colour of Track line on map. Points width - change the width of the Track Waypoints. Points colour - change the colour of Track Waypoints.

Back - return back to Track Options menu. Go to Start - centres the map to the first Waypoint of the Track. Go to End - centres the map to the last Waypoint of the Track. Back - returns back to Tracks Window.

Under the Areas Window, all information is stored regarding the Areas in the loaded GPX file. You will see the list of all areas. NOTE: Areas is a special Quo Mobile object which is not a standard GPX file. If you are exporting GPX for another programme (not Quo), note that it may not be supported.

15.1 Creating New Area

Select the New option in the Areas Window list. You will be asked to enter the

name for the new Area. Once you are happy with the name, press in the lower left corner of the screen. You will be transferred to map screen where you will see the Red Rectangle with the + in the middle. Position the Rectangle where you would like to put your first

area Waypoint and press Mark button or at the right top corner of the screen to place an Area Point. Continue to do so until happy with the Area. To finish the

drawing of an Area press the at the right lower corner of the screen.

15.2 Moving the Area Point

If you would like to move the selected Area Point to a different position, place the + in the Rectangle on a selected Area Point. It will change it's colour to Blue.

Now press the at the left top corner of the screen. Now drag the Rectangle or use the buttons to place it on a different position. Once happy with the new

position press the in the left upper corner of the screen and your Area Point will be moved to a selected position.

15.3 Deleting the Area Point

If you would like to delete the selected Area Point to a different position, place the + in the Rectangle on an Area Point. It will change it's colour to Blue. Now

press the Mark button or the in the upper left corner of the screen. It will ask you to delete the Area Point, confirm and the Area Point will be deleted.

15.4 Adding an Area Point

To add an Area Waypoint between two Area points in your existing Area, position the middle of the Rectangle on an Area Boundary line between two Area points. It

will change its colour to Green, now press the Mark button or in the upper left corner of the screen to insert an Area Waypoint.

15.5 Area Options

By selecting a Area you will get Area Options: Edit - edit Area on map. Rename - rename Area. Delete - delete Area. Info - show Area Info. Points - show Area Points. Properties - show Area properties. Visible - area visible on screen. Fill Colour - area Fill colour. Line Width - area line width. Line Colour - area line colour. Points Width - area points width. Points Colour - area points colour. GO TO - centre to first area point. Back - return to Areas List.

Your Endura Device has the ability to help you navigate along a Route you have created or to navigate you back to where you started by using the Follow Route or Take Me Back function.

16.1 Following a Route

To follow a route created, locate the Route you wish to navigate (Main Menu/Routes) and select it. You can then select the Follow Route option. Your Endura will then begin navigating you to the first Waypoint of that route. It will be labelled WPT001 (target) on the map if you have not renamed the route points. When you get close to that point your device will sound a beep and will start navigating you towards the next Waypoint.

16.2 Navigating Options

While Endura is in Follow Route mode you can over-ride the navigation by tapping

the in the left upper corner on the map screen. This will open the options page. The options are: Previous Point – this will jump the navigation to the previous target point on the route. Next Point – this will force the navigation to jump to the next point. Nearby Point – jumps navigation to the nearest waypoint. Exit Navigation – exits the navigation.

16.3 Take me back

This function allows you to navigate you back to your start point by simply going into the GPS Logs, locating the last log created by tapping it and selecting Take Me

Back. To skip to the next, nearby or previous point, tap the (located on the left of the map).

16.4 Map in navigation mode

When in Navigation mode there is a red arrow that shows your direction of travel. When stationary, this remains as a red dot.

To access the device preferences tap the preferences icon in the Main Menu footer area. In the preferences window you can change, among other settings, the units displayed, frequency of logs and the etc. Here is a list of what you can change under the Preferences menu: GPS - edit GPS receiver settings. Log Interval - either by seconds or by meters. Units - edit the units for Quo Mobile. You can set different units for Co-

ordinates, Distance, Altitude and Speed. Drawing - edit Drawing Settings. Sound - set the Loudness (volume) of the tapping or pressing the buttons. Time Zone - setting the time zone for you location, make sure you always

tap in the correct time-zone. Power Saving - Edit power saving settings. Battery Type – extend the battery life by selecting the right type.

Under Shut Down window you have several options. Turn Off Screen - turns off the screen. NOTE: to bring the screen back-on,

tap and hold the screen for two seconds until it illuminates. Suspend - suspends the device. Restart - soft restart the device.
