Fight For Mike!
I want to give a heartfelt Thank you to
all who donated to the Purple Stride in

Thanks to your generosity, the team
“Fight For Mike” was able to raise
$1927. Furthermore the ECSA
matched the donations to make the final
donation amount an incredible $3854.
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network
is blazing new trails in the fight against
pancreatic cancer. I Thank you and my
family Thanks you.
Sincerely,

From General Dynamics …
Call for Runners and Walkers to
Support Traumatized Veterans Home Base, a Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Program,
is dedicated to healing such invisible wounds as PTSD for post-9/11 veterans, ser-
vice members and their families through world-class clinical care, wellness, educa-
tion and research.
Their key fundraiser, Run to Home Base, will be held on July 23, and is a unique 9K
(5.6 mile) run and a 2.5-mile walk through Boston beginning and ending at Fenway
Park. The Run has raised more than $13 million since 2009.
EB, GDIT, BIW and GDMS have joined together to field a team of 40 employees.
Each runner/walker will be responsible to raise $500 to participate, which is ½ of the
standard commitment of $1,000. Each team member will have the opportunity not
only to cross home plate and have their picture taken, but to meet Boston Red Sox
legends and take a photo of the World Series trophies.
Up to 3,000 runners and walkers are expected to participate, and an estimated
10,000 friends and family members will take part in free concourse events and cheer
on participants from the stands at Fenway.
If you are interested, please reach out to Lindsay DelPrete at [email protected] or
401-268-2224 no later than the end of the day on Friday, May 20.
