QUOTATION NOTES

1 This quotat ion is based on the tender documents listed above and our price would be subject to review on receipt of addit ional informat ion.

2 In the absence of structural information we have assumed general 1.3kN/m 2 wind loading (subject to verif ication by project design engineers). 3 Pricing is based on assumed cladding arrangements, panel sizes and configurations, which would be subject to final verif ication in due course.

4 If arrangements vary f rom the assumed basic layout then we reserve the right to re-evaluate our quotat ion and amend our rates accordingly. 5 Our quantities where stated may be based on a sum of maximum panel dimensions and not in accordance wi th SMM7 measurement methods.

3 We have included for KME Proteus HR cladding system which has been fully tested to comply wi th CWCT rainscreen performance requirements. 4 We assume the cladding design will be a tradit ional rainscreen construction which wil l al low for minimum 38mm depth rear venti lat ion cavity.

5 We have included for panels wi th 0.7mm Nedzink Nova external facing. Increased thickness material is available but this would be at extra cost. 6 Pricing is based on a total rainscreen panel area of approx 3278m 2 manufactured in 3810 Nr panels which equates to approx 0.86m 2 ave panel size.

7 Our quotat ion includes for rainscreen panels, carrier rails and connection brackets only, to an assumed continuous support structure by others. 8 Standard Proteus HR system incorporates 15mm wide vertical and horizontal recessed panel joints although other jo int options may be available.

9 We have included for standard PVC (Black) jo int infill baffle strips - Nedzink Nova and other metal baffle strips would be available at extra cost..

10 We have included for extruded mull ion / angle rail supports at vertical j o i n t / abutment locations, and pressed mil l a luminium / steel brackets.

11 Supports are supplied in 6050mm lengths as standard. We have not included for any usage / cutt ing waste which should be al lowed separately. 12 We have included for mull ion brackets upto 175mm long which wil l accommodate upto 220mm overall cladding zone (structure to panel face).

13 We assume brackets wil l coincide wi th structural frame supports - if not then we would recommend an intermediate top hat sub-rail is used.

14 N.B. we have assumed that the zinc column cladding extends to the rear of the "Crowns" and have made an allowance for this in our measure. 15 N.B. we have made a provision for forming the vertical "Slats" to the parapet areas in zinc flashings fixed to 100x50mm mull ion support profiles.

16 N.B. if parapet cappings will be subject to impact loading then we would recommend that the gauge be increased to 1.5mm thickness (extra cost). 17 N.B. we have not included for any addit ional structural steel and / or aluminium supports (e.g. window members, supports to form "Crown" shapes).

18 N.B. we have not included for any condit ion surveys of the existing building and assume the structure wil l accommodate the addit ional loadings.

19 Generally, 0.7mm thickness Nedzink Nova standard straight flashings (excluding supports) would be charged at approx £50 .00 /m 2 x overall girth. 20 Unless stated otherwise, we will have included for flashings in the same material as the panel face, but not for any support closers, fixings etc. 21 Some large external flashings may require addit ional material thickness, stiffeners or closer supports which may not be included in our pricing.

22 Unless otherwise stated we have not included for any pre-formed irregular shaped panels (non-rectangular) or special cut-out shapes to panels.

23 Unless stated otherwise, flashings have been priced as being supplied in standard straight lengths, excluding mitred corners, angles, ends, etc. 24 Unless stated otherwise, pricing does not include for anchors / screw fixings to the building structure (structural connection design not by KME).

25 Unless stated otherwise, pricing excludes additional structural frame supports, secondary steelwork, closers, sub-rails, bracket extensions etc. 26 Unless stated otherwise, pricing excludes any venti lated cavity closers and / or insect mesh to any open joints or perimeter junct ion interfaces etc.

STANDARD EXCLUSIONS

Unless otherwise noted wi thin the quotat ion we have made no allowance for the fol lowing:-

1 Primary/Secondary support structure, to suit system requirements.

2 Flashings, insect/f ly mesh, window surrounds, copings, cappings, abutments, cills or their supports.

3 Fixings, shims, tapes, mastics, backing rod, or other seals. 4 Fire stops or smoke cavity barriers, vapour barriers, seals or isolating tapes/thermal barrier pads.

5 Panel penetrations.

6 Individual project samples, mock-ups or spare parts. (These can be arranged - at costs to be agreed.).

7 Individual Project Tests (These can be arranged - at costs to be agreed.). 8 Installation of the quoted system.

9 Site protection or cleaning down of installed systems. 10 Preparation of drawings, other than A4 Typical/Standard Details.

11 Preparation of Panel Schedules, Panel Take Offs, site surveys or site dimensioning

12 Preparation of Structural Calculations and/or Wind Load Calculations, other than standard panel and mull ion span charts.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

1 All orders shall be subject to a final 30 day period for review and acceptance in wri t ing bya Director of KME Yorkshire Ltd on its its formal order acknowledgement prior to execution. For the avoidance of doubt, KME Yorkshire Ltd shall not be bound by any purported order and/or agreement which is not so accepted in writ ing.

2 Any contract undertaken wil l be in accordance wi th KME Yorkshire Ltd standard terms of business unless expressly accepted by us in wr i t ing and no oral variat ion, qualif ication, or waiver to these terms shall have effect.

3 This quotat ion is valid for period of 30 days f rom the date of this quotat ion and for deliveries to site wi th in 90 days f rom the date of acceptance; thereafter it is subject to review and possible f luctuat ion.

4 KME Yorkshire Ltd reserve the right to use any material supplier, coating applicator, subcontractor or third party consultant of their choice unless agreed otherwise wi th the buyer at tender stage.

5 A Minimum Order Charge of £485.00 is applicable to each order or manufacturing schedule received. 6 Responsibility for ensuring that construction details or drawings supplied wil l perform to specific requirements and where

applicable interface wi th other construction elements lies strictly wi th the buyer. 7 Transport wil l be charged per full load wi th delivery dates agreed where possible to meet your requirements. Please note the

vehicle wil l be sized to the load, therefore any specialist vehicle requirements should be advised at the point of order placement. Offloading is the sole responsibility of the buyer. (Specialist Transport may incur additional charge)

A maximum of one hour delivery off- loading t ime is al lowed for wi th in this quotat ion. An additional charge wil l apply to any off loading t ime in excess of this.

8 Panel prices are for the system quoted and are based upon module sizes (square area - each panel is measured as actual panel length and wid th plus jo int dimensions calculated to 2 decimal places). Min imum panel price equivalent to applicable square metre modular rate i.e. one square metre; plus all applicable extra over prices for corners and specials etc. Where shaped panels

are required, these wil l be charged at the square area based on the maximum rectangular modular, vertical and horizontal, dimensions also subject to the min imum indicated above - unit rates can be provided upon request, to avoid subsequent confusion.

9 It is the responsibility of the buyer to provide accurate quantities and dimensions when placing an order wi th KME Yorkshire Ltd. Our take-off /quanti t ies noted wi th in our quotat ion are for indicative purposes only and is provided to assist in checking of your own quantities and should not be used as part of a lump sum price.

10 This quotat ion is based upon purchase of standard width and length sheets/coil and if subsequent project requirements dictate larger or smaller sheets/coil sizes, cost and t ime implications are to be agreed at t ime of order.

11 Where bulk reservations are concerned sufficient material wil l be ordered to accommodate the project requirements as per your reservation. Should the reservation not be called off in its entirety, KME Yorkshire Ltd reserve the right to invoice for the material balance. Materials

can be reserved for a maximum of two months, wi th in this period we would require sufficient informat ion to manufacture product (drawings, call-offs, schedules etc.). At this point if this information is not available we hold the right to invoice any material costs prior to manufacture.

CONTRACT CONDITIONS

VARIATIONS 1 KME Yorkshire Ltd reserve the right to make addit ional charges for changes to the architect's design and details at any t ime after

receipt of instruction, contract drawings and conf irmation of specification by the buyer.

2 All prices are subject to review/adjustment to reflect changes in statutory regulations.

3 Our price is based on all works concerned wi th material manufacturing being carried out in our factory environment. All site modifications and additions, other than any correction of errors caused by ourselves, are subject to charge at daywork rates unless agreed otherwise in wri t ing.

4 KME Yorkshire Ltd reserve the right to charge for repacking and or splitt ing of phases where material has already been batched and packaged in preparation for transportat ion.

LIQUIDATED AND ASCERTAINED DAMAGES 1 KME Yorkshire Ltd tender is on the basis that l iquidated damages do not apply to this contract. The contract is on the basis of

KME Yorkshire Ltd terms and conditions.

2 Any orders or contracts that state Liquidated and Ascertained Damages must be considered to be a proposal only, until wr i t ten acceptance is provided bya KME Yorkshire Ltd Director.

RETENTIONS

1 No retent ion money deductions have been al lowed for.

COLLATERAL WARRANTY

1 Our agreement to enter into a collateral warranty is subject to approval by our insurers. We will enter approved collateral warranties to cover our contracted works only.

2 If required, we will need to negotiate a charge to cover our cost for the Warranty. This includes researching the Warranty wi th our Insurers and Legal Advisors.

3 The signed warranty wil l be returned upon sett lement of the final account.

PERFORMANCE BOND 1 KME Yorkshire Ltd wil l not enter into any contract that requires a performance bond.

EMPLOYERS REQUIREMENTS 1 It is the buyer's sole responsibility to ensure our quotat ion complies wi th the Employer's requirements.

ORDER REQUIREMENTS 1 Orders issued to KME Yorkshire Ltd must cover advance material purchase and interim payments, where supply prices have been

guaranteed for the duration of the contract.

2 Material only wil l be invoiced when contracts are delayed in excess of 6 weeks f rom the agreed delivery date.

LEAD IN PERIOD 1 The lead in t ime for delivery of the product wil l be dependent upon the nature of the complexity of the proposed project. Prior

to acceptance of your order KME Yorkshire Ltd wil l agree wi th you, a programme of delivery dates

2 Our quotat ion assumes standard operating hours within our factory and an agreed programme issued to us to enable manufacture wi th in said parameters. Should out of hours working be required to meet the issued programme through no fault of KME Yorkshire Ltd then we reserve the right to charge all acceleration costs as an extra over to the original quoted value.

3 Goods manufactured according to the production/del ivery programme issued by the client must be delivered to site and accepted by the buyer wi th in 10 working days of the date of manufacture.

4 Product manufactured but not called off for delivery wi th in this period wil l be transported and stored off site in suitable conditions. All associated charges wil l be invoiced to the buyer in the month of delivery to site.

5 In the event of receiving variations to our original tender/order we reserve the right to review our agreed programmes relative to any extensions of t ime.
