YEAR 3 YOU ARE HERE!

WELCOME TO QUEENS!
The largest of all of the boroughs and the most ethnically
diverse urban area in the world, Queens is a unique
community representing over 100 countries. This week
you will be part of this 100% NYC experience as you enjoy
these neighborhoods that the Festival calls “home.”
Jackson Heights, the birthplace of the Festival, hosts
Queens' most striking array of cultures. Its "Little India"
brings you jewelry, music, clothing and some of the City’s most
authentic South Asian cuisine. In this part of town, you will also enjoy
Tibetan momos, Korean barbeque, Uruguayan empanadas, Mexican
horchata, Argentinian parrillada and Colombian arepas of every variety.
Opening night, you meet Greek Astoria, and NY’s film production
center, a neighborhood of old-‐world charm offering Japanese cuisine,
Turkish delights, Egyptian falafel, Moroccan hookah bars and all-‐night
cafes . Neighboring Long Island City (LIC) has the best of old-‐school,
industrial Queens , sweeping waterfront panoramic views, charming
brownstone-‐lined streets and a flourishing arts and music scene not-‐to-‐
be-‐missed.
