R MILLERIT'S REAL

(RHETORIC PROJECT)

 IT'S REAL

WHAT DO YOU SEE?

WHAT DO YOU SEE?

• an empty parking garage with

a skate board and a hand and

foot sticking out

• a person scared of who they

are

LOCATION: DOES IT MATTER?

LOCATION: DOES IT MATTER?

• If it wasn't were it was the

skate board would seem out

of place. The beam makes a

statement.So yes it does.

WHAT IS THE IMAGES EFFECT ON YOU?

WHAT IS THE IMAGES EFFECT ON YOU?

• When I look at this image it

makes me sad to think girls

and boys alike have to suffer

through something like this.

CAN YOU RELATE?

CAN YOU RELATE?

• Yes, I have had friends suffer

with this or thoughts of going

into it. Once you start it's like

an addiction you can't stop.

DOES NO WORDS MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

DOES NO WORDS MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

• In a way, if the details were

not paid close enough

attention to, without the

words, the viewer  would not

know what the purpose of the

picture is.

DOES CHANGING THE PICTURE CHANGE THE EFFECT?

DOES CHANGING THE PICTURE CHANGE THE EFFECT?

In one way yes because it shows two

different genders.

But, if gender wasn't an issue the image still

has the same effect.

PATHOS

PATHOS

For someone who has

experienced or has a friend

going through this, even

someone who doesn't, this

brings out how real this

condition/sickness is.

ETHOS

ETHOS

Minus the fact that it is

wrong for someone to feel

the need to be that small,

there is none.

LOGOS

LOGOS

Don't do it. Don't let peoples

words or the way you see

yourself affect you enough to

make you this way.

WHAT DO THE WORDS MEAN?

WHAT DO THE WORDS MEAN?

That anorexic need not to be

afraid to talk to someone about

what is going on.

ORIGINAL PURPOSE

ORIGINAL PURPOSE

To tell people with this condition that they aren't alone. That there is some one there for them. Telling them "DON'T HIDE. TALK."
