Our racecover product evolved as a response to our broker network who were finding it difficult to place coverage for the more extreme risks coupled with the ever increasing values of the ‘one class’ racing fleets.
Racecover – standard wordingOur standard racecover wording is designed for state of the art Open 50/60 mono-hull racing yachts. Cover is available for the single- and double-handed events including record attempts, transatlantic and round the world races. Our standard wording includes third-party liability but excludes mast, spars, sails and rigging. A policy extension is available to include the mast, spars and rigging, whilst the yacht is being used for sail training purposes, record attempts, qualifying passages and round the world races. Sails are excluded absolutely due to their limited life expectancy.
Racecover – plus wordingOur racecover plus wording is tailored to suit the needs of the serious inshore and offshore racer participating in major regattas around the world, from a production built one design, to a purpose built one-off mono-hull. Yachts such as the hi-tech TP52s suit this programme with the European circuit of inshore round the cans racing. Racecover plus includes loss or damage to the mast, spars, sails and rigging whilst not racing and can be extended for race events.
CargoWe are able to provide full cargo coverage either by road, rail, sea or air for the vessel, masts, containers of equipment and support vessels.
