• Given 2500 square feet out of 5300 total, other was to be delegated for tenant usage
• Linear aspect resembles linear aspect of DNA, the driving concept behind the design
• Delegated to all of allowed window space for maximum usage of natural light
• Integrated relax and recharge space for business savvy, international travelers
• Intertwines people from different nationalities and backgrounds by encouraging relaxation, cultural discovery, and connection
• Sense of global community but still an option of privacy if needed

airport lounge design: TouchDown: Integrated Lounge
This stylish instal-lation not only feeds electricity to lounge us-ers, but creates some privacy as well. These white metal tubes in-tertwine to cre-ate interest and separation for the space.
Stylish and private, these hubs accomodate business savvy individuals who want a quiet place to work or relax.
Electricity travels down through the ceiling, through the walls of the hub to the fl oor, where users can access fl oor outlets for electricity usage.
hotel design: The Quarry: A Boutique Hotel
• Mall repurposed into boutique hotel and offi ce space• Focus on boutique hotel as “phase 1”.• Goal: invite target markets of Indiana University to ex-
perience both the university and Bloomington as a city.• Fountain incorporated to bring historical elements of
building and concpet together, giving meaning to the previous name.
• Concept:: create a boutique hotel that uniquely ex-presses the greatest value and symbol of Indiana Uni-versity and Bloomington - the limestone quarry.
• Walls represent a modern interpretation of a quarry while fl oors represent water.

• Elements of limestone and limestone formations are incorporated into every aspect of building
• Red incorporated for IU theme• Wood plank ceiling in restaurant and bar to connect
both spaces as well as providing a traditional / sophis-ticated feel as well as create interesting light patterns and contribute to cave-like concept

• Guest rooms fi tted with modern furnishings combined with limestone motif.
• Fountain running through center of phase 1 space in order to give meaning to “Fountain Square” (and simultaneously bond itself with the concept) as well as create an interest and comfort to the hotel lobby and lower level
• Fountain brings life to lower level that was previously in a forgotten about state with little access to the fountain.
multi-family design: Riverdale Apartments
• Apartments to be built in College Park, Maryland.• Concept: Create spaces that achieve a sense of modern elegance
while relating to existing buildings in Riverdale community and using sustainable materials.
• Lobby and Game Room (pictured top left and top right) lowered 28” to create sense of height and comfort for residents.
• Dropped ceilings accompany all seating areas in order to provide comfort, create planes in the space, and use lights as a spacial feature.
• Blue represents the modern symbol of the historical river that Riverdale hails its name.

• Reception desk designed as fl oating object in space with metal mesh to create focal point as well as possible backdrop for signage.
• Mail room will be a cozy, modern space with a screen that displays apartment events, weather, and updates on deliveries.
• Elevator lobbies to feature graphic wall art to create visual interest as well as introducing wayfi nding.
• modern take on elegant residential art.• Community kitchen for residents to use.
