Schwank Heaters Work by the Same Principle:Infrared radiation is perceived by the skin surface as pleasant and comfortable. The indirect effect of radiant heat can be noted by the warming-up of the surrounding surfaces such as floors and other objects. This results in a comfortable ambient temperature that can be achieved at a significant-ly lower air temperature. This physical correlation can be explained by the simple formula:

Energy-Efficient and Comfortable:A long and laminar flame ensures the outstanding distribution of radiant heat and the remarkable energy-efficiency of the Schwank tube heaters. To realize this flame, a gas-air-mixture is created in an especially constructed burner chamber (Fig. 1). This mixture is forced through a ceramic tile – a Schwank invention – and is ignited on the surface of the front side with an ignition electrode. The result is an up to 5m (16 ft.) long and laminar flame, being up to five times longer than the flame in most of the competing products.

4. Air Intake and ExhaustThe fl ue gas of the radiation tube is transported through an exhaust system to the outside. The combustion air can be taken from the inside of the building or from the outside through an air intake system.

5. Individual and Heating SystemsIt is possible to connect our heaters to a central fl ue-collecting-system with a central fl ue fan. Do not hesitate to request the design planning of such systems.

6. Comfortable ControlOur heating systems can be controlled according to individual needs ranging from single thermostat controllers to a central building control system.

With an optimized and environment-friendly combustion due to the use of the ceramic tile and the mature construction of tubes and refl ectors, this radiant tube heater guarantees a high radiation effi ciency, signifi cant energy-savings and durability.

calorSchwank Fully insulated with low gas-consumption.

The calorSchwank is the top-model amongst tube heaters with highest energy-effi ciency and consumes 20% less energy than conventional tube heaters at only slightly higher investment costs. That is due to the high-quality ceramic fi ber insulation and the progressive burner technology. Despite its lower material depth of the Schwank insulation, also being used in air space technol-ogy, it achieves four times the insulation impact than conventional material. Thanks to the high temperature resistance of this special ceramic insulation (exceeding 1000°C / 1800°F) that an excellent and constant radiation performance is realized.
