OUR LEVELS OF INSTRUCTIONRailside has four different levels of instruction:
1 HOLERS:
Designed for children who have the appropriate attention span, interest, and desire. This level focuses on safety and basic golf techniques: swing, putting, and short game. 1 Holers should be able to carry their clubs for an entire hole without assistance.
3 HOLERS:
Designed for children who have experienced the game before, but are still relatively new to the game. Instruction is focused on more advanced techniques, including bunker play, and rules. 3 Holers should be able to carry their clubs for 3 holes without assistance.
5 HOLERS:
This level of instruction is open to golfers who have begun to take the game seriously. Instruction covers the full swing, short game, rules, and etiquette. 5 Holers should be able to carry their clubs for at least 5 holes without assistance.
9 HOLERS:
Designed for golfers who take the game seriously and aspire to play more competitively. Instruction covers the full swing with video analysis, short game, bunker play, trouble shots, specialty shots, rules, and course management.

RAILSIDE JUNIOR GOLF DOJOWe are excited to announce a new junior program available to you called Golf Dojo! This program is designed with the goal for each junior to progress through the six levels of the Golf Dojo Belt System throughout the 2020 golf season at his/her own pace. Our hope is that this system will engage each junior and create a sense of excitement, accomplishment, and reward in achieving their ranking.
A small, one-time entry fee of $30 per junior will apply. Your junior(s) will be awarded a new belt, along with a gift certificate redeemable in the Golf Shop, for each completed level.
BELT LEVELS
9-hole target score is 40 or under from...
25 yards from the green. $5 gift certif icate
50 yards from the green. $7 gift certif icate
100 yards from the green. $9 gift certif icate
150 yards from the green. $11 gift certif icate
the Orange. $13 gift certif icate
the Red. $15 gift certif icate

Please note that there will be no junior golf June 30 & July 2 or July 7 & 9 in observance of Independence Day and due to other club events. The program will resume on July 14 & 16.

EQUIPMENT NOTICE
Ensure your junior has the proper equipment to advance their golf game by visiting the Pro Shop. Our staff is professionally trained to fit golfers with the appropriate clubs and equipment.

ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
Golf is a game that demands respect and requires courtesy. And it ’s great for kids. Railside Golf Club is committed to encouraging and engaging our youngest members as they learn to enjoy a sport that almost anyone can play. The Junior Golf Program at Railside focuses on introducing students to golf, fostering their technique and skills, and developing a lifelong passion for the game. Parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles are encouraged to play and practice with their children, complementing instructional opportunities and ensuring the most successful outcome.
OUR CURRICULUM
Our staff will be using the same curriculum as last year. SNAG® Golf is a proven player development program designed for new learners of all ages. The program builds on strong fundamentals of the different strokes and swings and develops playing ability quickly and effectively.
