March 23, 2020 For Students, from Mr. V Good Morning Students! Seeing as how today is the first day of weather that might be keeping you inside, I wanted to brighten up your day with a challenge. This past week my dog Lenny and I have gone for a walk every morning. While walking through our neighborhood we have spent time listening to the chirping birds, admiring the changing trees, and chasing squirrels. On our journeys, Lenny and I have seen evidence that our neighbors are being respectful, responsible and safe by making sure that they are staying inside, unless they are going to the grocery store, pharmacy or to exercise. We are so proud of our community for working together on this. Rainbows around As impressive as this has been, one thing has stood out to us even more. Everywhere we've looked, our neighbors have left us rainbows. Not one of them has looked the same or been posted in the same way. It's almost as if my neighbors wanted to send Lenny and me a personal message. It's almost as if all of my neighbors wanted me to know that they missed seeing Lenny and me around. Then Lenny and I realized what it meant! My neighbors wanted us to know that no matter what, everything was going to be ok and that they would see us soon. What a great message! It made us feel so much better! Each rainbow that we have passed has made us smile and made our hearts fill with joy. Finding each one has been like opening a special morning message made just for us. That got me thinking. I know a group of students who could definitely extend the same kind of joy in their neighborhoods! My students! Here is my challenge to you. Draw, make, create a rainbow and post it in the window of your home or somewhere out front. Once you do that, wait to see how many dogs and neighbors smile as they pass by. Remember, when you see a neighbor or a dog smile, that means that you just reminded them that there is a rainbow at the end of every storm and that everything will be alright. That you will see them soon! Once you put up your rainbows, maybe Lenny and I will make a special trip through your neighborhood for some extra smiles. I can't wait to see you all soon. Sincerely, Mr.

For Students, from Mr.

Rainbows around

As impressive as this has been, one thing has stood out to us even more.

Sincerely,Mr.

Sinceramente,Mr. V
