It is at the top of the list for boys but still only 4th for girls behind English, Psychology and
Biology

• Creation of Maths Hubs
• Launch of the ‘Your Life’ campaign. Backed by the DfE and industry to champion girls in Mathematics.
So what happened next?....
How can Maths Hubs aid in raising participation of Girls at Post 16?
• Promoting careers that need mathematics.
• Establish mentoring and coaching with female mentors/coaches.
• Actively support girls’ involvement for ‘aim higher’ events.
• Introduce Maths teams in order to share and adapt good practice.
• Open lines of communication with role models in careers than use Mathematics.
