The academic year of 2020 – 21 got delayed due to Covid – 19 and started in the month of

August 2020. It brought an immense change in the education system. One of the changes is the

sudden shift from ‘traditional teaching’ to ‘online teaching.’ Technology has taken the forefront

and chose a new platform to conduct competitions.

Independence Day was celebrated in the vicinity of college with great patriotism amidst few

members due to Covid – 19. Covid Frontline Warrior Dr Padmaja, HoD of Anesthesia from NIIMS

hospital was invited. Principle Dr. J Achyutha Devi hoisted the national flag and addressed the

gathering with her inspirational speech. Dr Padmaja inspired students with motivational words.

Management, staff and non – teaching staff attended.

conducted by St Pious Degree and PG College on

the occasion of Independence Day.

On the occasion of Road Safety Week, conducted road show with the students with placards,

banners stating the importance of road safety on 11th

On 26th

January, we celebrated 72st Republic day in the quadrangle with great éclat. The ceremony

commenced with the unfurling of the National flag by Secretary cum Correspondent Prof.

Sudharshan Reddy. He addressed the gathering on the historical facts, prevailing pandemic situation,

articles and amendments in the constitution. The ceremony was followed by investiture ceremony.

Dr Atchyutha Devi, Principal addressed the newly formed student council with the mesmerizing

speech on the importance of rights and duties. Students sang patriotic songs and delivered speeches.
