BIOMETRIC ATTENDANCE

BENEFITS
a)Biometric machines as per specification provided in DDU-GKY guidelines are installed at each SDC.
b)Attendance of trainees for both residential & non residential batches are captured daily at all SDCs and Hostels twice a day.
c) Attendance of biometric machines in centres across 33 districts is in sync with server at HO –Jaipur on real time basis.
a)Attendance of any centre across the state can be checked on real time basis by all heads in Head Office and by District Units
Biometric attendance is used to capture the attendance of trainees at SDCs.
Finger impressions of trainees are captured & saved in the machine at the time of batch commencement.

Best Practices (2/6)PARTICIPATORY IDENTIFICATION OF POOR (PIP)

BENEFITS
a) Gram Sabhas in each 9500 GP were conducted in the state across more than 290 blocks on 10th Dec, 2014, for identification of beneficiaries under DDU-GKY .
b) The massive activity was coordinated by RSLDC District & State Team with the stakeholders like District Collectors, BDOs , CEOs, Sarpanch etc.
a) Identification through Gram Sabhas on a single day across the State resulted in collecting details of more than 70,000 eligible and interested beneficiaries in the state.
b) Compiled details are further shared with District Managers of all 33 districts to ensure mobilization support to the PIAs running SDCs in the State.
PIP process is used to identify the eligible poor youth (beneficiaries) at all villages in a block

a) It helps in maintaining the training standards & training quality at the respective SDCs in the State.
Effective monitoring in DDU-GKY in Rajasthan involves multi-channel monitoring mechanism for all SDCs running in the State in order to ensure their optimal performance
a)Frequent visits by District Team at the SDCs to ensure availability of required infra & tools for training at the centers.
b)Surprise inspection visits by RSLDC officials on regular basis

a)Recognition of talent in the State.
b)It helps in motivating the youth of the State to get themselves enrolled for the training in various offered courses resulting in placement opportunities for them.
Monetary reward & certification to the trainee drawing highest salary in the month.
a)Nominations for best trainees in terms of placement & package from PIAs are invited every month.
b)Skill icon for every month is selected on the basis of entries received from the PIAs.
c) First Skill Icon award was given by Hon’ble Chief Minister, GoR and second by Hon’ble Minister, Labour & Employment.
d)PIA is also declared PIA of the month and awarded with a trophy.

a) Increased participation of women in skill development training in the State.
b)Helpful in mobilization of poor women from remote rural areas
In order to ensure women participation in skill development training in villages & backward areas, women exclusive skill development centres are promoted.
a)Areas with low women participation in skill development are identified.
b)SDCs are started in those areas keeping focus on the women specific courses which primarily includes tailoring, Beauty Wellness , security, etc.

Standards for setting up of state of art skill development centreDetailed SoP and guidelines of the DDU-GKY has contributed and facilitated the state towards setting-up of State of the art skill development centers
Adoption of QP /NOS in the state for skill development training in various tradesIn-line of DDU-GKY procedures, state has adopted alignment and compliance of courses of different sectors as per QP/NOS.
Tie up with SSCs with Sector Skill Council for Assessment & CertificationState has partnered with different sector skill councils and NCVT for assessment and certification of youth trained under other skill programs.
Knowledge Sharing & exposureVarious nation wide skilling domain workshops conducted by MoRD at periodic intervals has provided learning opportunity and platform to share skilling initiative implemented countrywide.
