PRINCIPAL’S Message
Good evening and welcome Year 6 students, parents, carers and visitors to Randwick Boys’
High School, where your son will begin ‘An Exclusive Education in an Inclusive Environment’.
I am the Principal of Randwick Boys’ High School. I am extremely proud to be appointed
Principal of this wonderful school with fantastic traditions, results, opportunities, parent
involvement, staff, students and ‘old boys’.
Tonight, you will see what we offer our students. The unique and exclusive opportunities we
have for your son to enhance the broad curriculum we offer in the classrooms. We strive to
ensure your son becomes a ‘Lifelong Learner’, that is, they learn throughout their lives, not
just what is needed to score an amazing ATAR at the end of Year 12 but lessons they keep
with them for life to equip them to be socially, culturally and politically aware of the world in
which they live.
Producing well rounded young men is one of our goals and at Randwick Boys’ High, we are
able to meet the needs of Gifted and Talented students as well as students who experience
Learning difficulties, students who need firm but fair discipline, students who need
assistance with their study and learning patterns, students who are performers, creators,
academics and sporting stars. If you are talented in all these areas, we have a place for you.
If you are talented in one of these areas, we have a place for you.
Not all of you who wish to enrol at Randwick Boys’ High School will be offered a place in Year
7 or subsequent years. We now have a waiting list for students who wish to attend. We are
growing, changing and becoming more popular because of the wonderful things you will see
tonight but more importantly, because of the wonderful people you will meet tonight. The
staff and students at this school make it a fantastic place of learning, they are committed to
ensuring your son reaches his full potential in all areas of the curriculum and beyond.
I trust you will enjoy your evening and, by viewing our offerings, the choice for Year 7 is
made easier for you.
Enjoy your evening,
Lance Raskall Principal
