Half-Fare Discount
BIKES ON BUSESAll JeT buses have bike racks that hold up to two single-seat, two-wheeled, non-motorized bicycles. Regular fares apply for each passenger. Your bike rides FREE!
Using the rack is easy. As the bus approaches, have your bike ready to load. Never approach the bus from the street. Stay on the curb. Remove any items that could fall off, like a water bottle or pannier. Tell the bus operator that you are loading a bike. Squeeze the handle and pull down to release the folded bike rack. Place your bike in the trough furthest from the bus with the front tire facing the clamping arm, toward the street. If the outside trough is full, load your bike into the trough closest to the bus. In this position, the front tire will face the curb. Raise the clamping arm as far up on the wheel as you can. Before unloading, make sure to let the operator know you’ll be removing your bike. Lift up the clamping arm and remove your bike, folding up the rack if it’s empty.
HOLIDAY SERVICEThe Saturday schedule is operated on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Good Friday, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. A separate schedule will be announced and used during the carnival season (week preceding Mardi Gras day). Routes without Saturday service do not operate on holidays.

BICICLETAS EN LOS BUSESEncontrará portabicicletas in todos los autobuses de JeT. Caben dos bicicle-tas individuales de dos ruedas y sin motor. Cada ciclista coloca su bicicleta independientement de la tora. El pasajero paga la tarifa regular pero la bicicleta viaja GRATIS!
El uso del portabicicleta es fácil. Mientras se acerca el autobús, tenga su bi-cicleta lista para cargar. Nunca se acerque al autobús desde la calle. Mantén-gase en la acera. Retire cualquier objeto que pueda caer de su bici, como una botella de agua o maleta. Dígale al operador del autobús que va a cargar una bicicleta. Apriete la manija y baja el portabicicletas. Coloque su bicicleta en un espacio vacío. Eleve el brazo de sujeción hacia arriba y por encima de la llanta delantera. Antes de descargar, asegúrese de que el operador sabe que va a sacar su bicicleta. Levante el brazo de sujeción y saque su bicicleta, subiendo el portabicicletas si está vacío.

A half-fare discount is available to riders aged 65 years and older. The base half fare is 75¢. The half fare to cross the river is $1.00. Transfers are available from the bus operators for 25¢. To receive half-fare discount, simply present a government-issued picture ID (ex: State ID, Driver’s License, or passport) to the bus operator upon boarding. This change is effective as of October 1, 2017, at which point JeT will no longer issue Half-Fare Cards. Previously-issued JeT Half-Fare Cards are still accepted.
Day Pass - $4.00Good for unlimited rides within the JeT system and valid for 1 calendar day beginning the day which the card is stamped and activated. The Day Pass can be purchased ONLY onboard the busses by requestfrom the operator.
Reginal Ride - $6.00Good for unlimited rides on both JeT and RTA buses and streetcars for 24 hours after the first use. The pass can be purchased aboard JeT and RTA vehicles, through the RTA GoMobile App, and at RTA ticketvending machines.

Veterans-Airport - E1 (City Park) 3
Route: The Veterans route connects Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport in Kenner to the city of New Orleans.
There are two branches of the Veterans route, the Veterans Airport City Park and the Veterans Airport Downtown. The bus stop at the new airport is located on the top level of the departure terminal in the middle walkway of the outside lane, closest to the exit.
The City Park branch runs from the airport along Veterans Boulevard and the Pontchartrain Expressway to the Cemeteries Transit Center at Canal Boulevard and City Park Avenue in New Orleans. From this point, passengers can connect to New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) routes, including the RTA’s Canal Street Streetcar as well as several RTA bus routes.
The Downtown branch runs from the airport along Veterans Boulevard to Causeway Boulevard. At Causeway, the Downtown branch diverts onto I-10, exits I-10 onto City Park Avenue, and continues all the way into downtown New Orleans on Canal Street. The Downtown bus does NOT stop at the Cemeteries Transit Center but does stop at several major intersections along Canal Street on its way downtown.

Veterans-Airport - E1 (Downtown)Route: The Veterans route connects Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport in Kenner to the city of New Orleans.
There are two branches of the Veterans route, the Veterans Airport City Park and the Veterans Airport Downtown. The bus stop at the new airport is located on the top level of the departure terminal in the middle walkway of the outside lane, closest to the exit.
The City Park branch runs from the airport along Veterans Boulevard and the Pontchartrain Expressway to the Cemeteries Transit Center at Canal Boulevard and City Park Avenue in New Orleans. From this point, passengers can connect to New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) routes, including the RTA’s Canal Street Streetcar as well as several RTA bus routes.
The Downtown branch runs from the airport along Veterans Boulevard to Causeway Boulevard. At Causeway, the Downtown branch diverts onto I-10, exits I-10 onto City Park Avenue, and continues all the way into downtown New Orleans on Canal Street. The Downtown bus does NOT stop at the Cemeteries Transit Center but does stop at several major intersections along Canal Street on its way downtown.

Route: The E2 Airline Drive route Route provides service along the Airline Drive corridor into the city of New Orleans. During weekdays only, it provides service to downtown New Orleans, stopping at all regular bus stops along its route on Tulane Avenue into the CBD.
Please Note: The E2 Airline route travels to the intersection of Tulane Avenue and Loyola Avenue in downtown New Orleans until 6:52 PM on weekdays. On weekends the E2 Airline route only travels to the intersection of Tulane Avenue and Carrollton Avenue in the Mid-City neighborhood of New Orleans. From this intersection, riders can take the New Orleans RTA’s 39-Tulane bus into downtown New Orleans on weekends.

On September 16, 2019, a new transit service will begin to replace JeT’s E4 Metairie Road bus. This service will be free of charge for riders transferring at the Canal Blvd. Terminal and the Airline-Severn bus stop.

Route: The Causeway Route is a north/south route and intersects all routes on the Eastbank of Jefferson Parish. The route runs from Jefferson Highway along Causeway Boulevard to West Es-planade Avenue and then proceeds west along West Esplanade to Houma Blvd. at East Jefferson Hospital.

The JeT VIP Monthly Pass allows unlimited rides and transfers on all JeT routes for the calendar month. The Mobility Impaired Transportation System (MITS) is part of Jefferson Transit. MITS is a shared ride service that provides transportation for per-sons with disabilities who are unable to use fixed route Jefferson Transit service. MITS provides demand response curb-to-curb next day and up to 7 days in advance service and meets the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). How Much Does it Cost to Ride MITS?A MITS rider pays $3.00 for each one-way trip. By law, the fare for MITS cannot exceed two times the regular fare for fixed route buses. There is no charge for a personal care attendant traveling with a MITS rider. Guests are charged the same fare as certified MITS riders. Coupon books are available in the MITS Office.What Area Does MITS Serve?MITS serves urbanized Jefferson Parish and a limited area of Orleans Parish. This area includes the Eastbank, all developed areas north of the Hero Cutoff on the Westbank, and the Lafitte area. Did you know there are 2 bus terminals on the Westbank? The Wilty and Walkertown Terminals serve Westbank bus routes. The Wilty Terminal is located under the Westbank Expressway at Van Trump. The Walkertown Terminal is located under the Westbank Expressway between Barataria Boulevard and Ames Boulevard. Both terminals provide sheltered waiting areas for passengers transferring between bus lines. Amenities include security, telephones, security lighting, and scheduling information. The terminals are fully accessible to persons with disabilities.

Route: The Gretna Local route provides service to historic downtown Gretna and surrounding Parish municipal services via Wilty Terminal. The Wilty Terminal provides connections to Lapalco, Westbank Expressway, Terrytown, and Westbank Sunday Loop routes.

Route: The Huey P. Long route provides a connection between the Jefferson Transit eastbank and westbank routes. The route stops at the Yenni building on the Eastbank and the Walkertown Terminal on the Westbank.

W-SL Westbank Sunday Loop
Effective Date: November 13, 2011
Route: The Sunday Loop Route pro-vides service between both Westbank terminals, Wilty and Walkertown, and the New Orleans CBD as well as areas south of the Westbank Expressway. The Sunday Loop travels from the New Orleans CBD to the Wilty Terminal, and along Westbank Expressway to the Walkertown Terminal. It then travels down Ames Blvd., to Lapalco Blvd and west to Lapalco Blvd and Victory. At Lapalco and Victory it turns around to travel the rest of the Lapalco route back to the New Orleans CBD.
