WEST END COMMUNITY BASKETBALLBack by popular demand! WECB is a program designed to develop fundamental skills, sportsmanship and a love of the game for basketball. The goal of the program is to allow participants the opportunity to maximize their potential, while promoting the importance of youth basketball as a vehicle to build character, discipline, self-esteem and sportsmanship.This is a supervised and fun introduction to basketball fundamentals and stage competition with age appropriate instruction and development.Players will receive a T-Shirt.

This program is a fun interactive way to learn the FUNdamentals of the game. Tennis Manitoba works with partners such as local clubs, schools, not-for-profit groups and parks and recreation departments to increase their reach and to engage the community using tennis as a vehicle for physical development. Our aim is to provide a variety of tennis programs for the various ages and skill levels. DROP-IN FLOOR HOCKEY FOR CHILDRENOur ever popular program is DROP-IN and it’s supervised. Floor hockey sticks are provided. Only RA Steen CC sticks can be used. Kids must wear non-marking shoes and protective gear is recommended. AFTER SCHOOL DROP-INParents must register their child in advance if they are planning to use the program anytime during the summer.

Begins September 3rd, 2014This program is suitable for children ages 7 – 12.Cost: FREEHours of operation are 3:30 – 5:30pm Monday to Friday during the school year. The drop-in program is closed on days when there is no school.

Parents must register their child in advance if they are planning to use the program anytime during the 2014/15 school year. There is limited space for this program. Register before we fill up.

To ensure a safe and pleasant environment, it is essential that children must know their boundaries and know the difference between right and wrong.

Drop-in for organized and non-organized activities. Children can come and hang out with their friends, play in the gym, play video games, read a book, play board games and so much more.

WINTER-BREAK DROP-INParents must register their child in advance if they are planning to use the program anytime during the winter break. The Community Centre will begin taking registrations on Monday December 1st, 2014This program is appropriate for children aged 7-12.

Hours of operation for the winter drop-in program are 10:00am – 4:00pm.

FUNKY MONKEY IS BACKFunky Monkey is back this Fall offering more fun games and exercise for the whole family! Our children thrive on moving their bodies and interacting with others all while having FUN!

Did you know children 1-4 years of age should accumulate at least 3 hours of exercise at any intensity throughout their day?

Did you know that children 5-11 years old should be moving at a moderate to vigorous intensity for at least 1 hour per day?

Funky Monkey programs help kids move their bodies, learn the basic movement skills such as hopping, skipping, jumping, running, throwing, kicking, striking and catching, build friendships and learn social/emotional intelligence, all while having tons of fun doing it! Focus is on building community in a safe, cooperative atmosphere that allows children to thrive and learn at their own pace.

Fall Session:• Jumping Jelly Beans, 2-5 year olds, Tuesdays from 6pm-7pm (Sept. 30-Nov.25 no class Nov. 11)• Rainbow Stew, 6-8 year olds, Sundays from 2:30pm-3:30pm (Oct. 5-Nov.23)• Down with Dodgeball, 9-12 year olds, Sundays from 3:45pm-4:45pm(Oct. 5-Nov. 23)All classes are $60/8 weeks.

PARENT AND TOT DROP-IN This program is for parents and their little ones to come out and socialize with other “parent and totters”. Come play, sing and dance.
