a. Out of 5080 habitation, State has provided secondary school facility to the 2559 habitation. (52.8%)
b. Nos. of Schools increased from 186 (2009-10) to 232 during 2012-13 under State Govt.
c. During 2010-11, 11 Nos KGBVs have been upgraded for providing Secondary schooling facilities to the Girls child.
d. 22 Nos UPS have been upgraded upto Secondary level during 2011-12. they will be made functional during 2013-14

• In-service teachers training under RMSA is undertaken by 11 DIETS in the state
• School level monitoring of academic activities are done by DIETS
• SCERT in Arunachal Pradesh has just come up & all type of training of Headmaster & Principal are done by it
• Remedial teaching for learning enhancement of students is done at school level by the teachers of that school
• Excursion tour for the student within the state has been carried out for enhancing their learning ability

Achievement 2012-13• Strengthening of 100 schools completed • 5 Nos of KGBVs have been made functional & rest 6 Nos will
start functioning from 2013-14• 212 Head of Institutions have been provided management
training for 5 days by SCERT, Itanagar.
• 1293 In-service teachers working at Secondary Stage have been provided 5 days Content-enrichment training by 11 DIETs as per details
a. 258 teachers have undergone training on mathematics.
b. 258 teachers were given training on science.c. 259 teachers were trained on social science.d. 259 teachers have undergone training on Englishe. 259 were given training on Hindi.

• 3770 students of class 9 were taken to the places of educational importance within the state as excursion by the 16 districts of the state.
• Remedial teaching in 3 subjects namely mathematics, science and Hindi for 3770 students were conducted.
