I would take the opportunity to personallycongratulate them or taking a step to urther

their education, and I would encourage them tocontinue their pursuit o a higher degree. Havingearned a degree as an adult learner mysel, Iknow the diculties o balancing lie and highereducation. Its not an easy task, but I would tellthem that they will nd it to be a rewarding one,once completed.

Why did you decide to continue youeducation?

My education has proven day ater day to beextremely valuable. I regularly nd mysel doingsomething or applying a concept that I learned in

one o my courses o study. Earning your degree iabout more than just having the piece o paper;its about applying the lessons you learn. Likemost students, I sometimes ound mysel askingwhen will I ever use this, but I promise, youwill.

Have you ever taken an online course?

Yes, I have. In act, I took a ew years o aterhigh school beore continuing my education, so Iknow how challenging it is to attend college whileworking ull time and taking care o a amily. It can

be challenging to nd the time, energy, and attentionto successully complete your degree.

Sel-discipline is a primary requirement whenyou are taking courses 100% online. Collegestudents may traditionally be thought o as lessthan disciplined, but thats not a luxury an adultlearner can aford. From my own experience andin working with students over the years, I knowthat student success comes rom good planningand time management.

What advice do you have or Rasmussen

College students taking courses online?

Make a plan and stick to it. As I mentioned,balancing school, work, and amily responsibilityis not easy, and i you dont make a plan and staywith it, something is likely to all of the plate.With that in mind, a support system can alsoplay a powerul part in your successul pursuito a degree. Make sure your amily, riends, andcolleagues including your employer knowwhat you are doing and understand the level ocommitment required. More oten than not, youwill nd the people close to you will be supportive.

Also, remember your Rasmussen College supportsystem. We are all committed to doing whateverwe can to help you be successul, so take advantageo the support and resources ofered.

Finally, stay ocused on the end goal and howproud you will be when you achieve your goal ograduation. In the end, its your degree, and itsup to you to earn it.
