RAT31 SL: Overview

S Band

Transportable

Instrumental coverage:

– Range 470 Km

– Elevation 0˚÷20˚

– Ceiling 30.5 km

RAT31-SL is a 3D LONG RANGE S-Band Early Warning Radar with a

phased array antenna which counters threats in every kind of ECM (Electronic

Counter Measures) and severe clutter environments.

Threats:

– Aircraft, Helicopters, UAV

– Missiles (including ARM)

– Jammer, Chaff

S-Band, 3D - Multiple Pencil Beams - Phased Array

Surveillance volume covered by electronic scanning in elevation and 6 RPM mechanical rotation in azimuth

• Instrumented range: 470 km

• Elevation: up to 20°

• Height: 30.5 km

• Peak power: 150KW

Three independent and simultaneous pencil beams:

• three beams for detection, operating at different frequencies (84) dynamically selectable/managed depending on clutter/jamming environments

Simultaneous beams provide a longer Time-On-Target for a better target detection, good azimuth accuracy and optimum clutter rejection.

Narrow pencil beams and low antenna sidelobes
