The market for LNG is developing rapidly in the USA. Keen to reduce its dependency on foreign oil, the country has turned to shale gas fields as a source of energy for fuelling trailers and other vehicles. Consequently, vast quantities of trailers and re-gasification units are being produced for transporting and using LNG throughout the country.

Ratermann Cryogenics supply cryogenic valves and complete valve packages for US trailer and regasification equipment. Our control valves and emergency shutdown (ESD) valves, including class 1, div 1 actuators are used in hazardous areas. ESD valves have closing times of less than 3 seconds, this is crucial for protection of plant and personnel.

Ratermann offer a comprehensive range of 3-piece, 2-piece and top-entry ball valves for diverse applications.

Globe ValvesThis package includes fire-safe manual, control and ESD valves. The ESD valves are suitable for use in class 1, div 1 hazardous zones with closing times of less than 3 seconds.

Gate Valves This range includes manual and ESD actuated valves, suitable for use in class 1, div 1 hazardous zones, with closing times of less than 3 seconds.

Butterfly ValvesA complete range of valves are available to 48”. This includes fire-safe options and a range of end connections including butt weld.

Safety Valves This is a full range of stainless steel valves from ¼” threaded thermal relief valves to fully flanged safety valves for plant use.

We have worked with global actuation specialists to design ex-proof actuation packages for controlling the flow of LNG or ESD options for stopping the flow in the event of an emergency.

Our top-entry ball valve simplifies maintenance and is used for plants across the globe. 3-piece valves are used on trailer and regasification equipment. Fire-safe options are available for both.
