With the increase of district heating in the UK, specifiers and contractors are increasingly looking at the pipe’s performance to optimise both installation and operational costs. REHAU’s RAUTHERMEX pipe offers excellent insulation performance through its Polyurethane (PU) foam with a lambda value of 0.0216W/mK (according to EN 253).

RAUTHERMEX is available in single pipe (UNO) up to 160mm /and twin pipe (DUO) up to 63mm, with a comprehensive range of fittings and accessories. The new RAUTHERMEX 140mm pipe is the largest flexible pipe available on the market, coming in 75m coils.

RAUTHERMEX offers significant installation savings over steel pipes as there is no need for time-intensive welding every 6 to 12m, long coils can be used and the pipe is easy to handle on site. Lower flow temperatures (e.g. 80°C) are now being used in modern district heating systems, allowing PE-Xa pipe to be the material of choice for contractors.
