RCTC offers ONLINE options in the following Health Information Management Careers:

Health Information Technicians (A.A.S degree) analyze, secure, and maintain patient health information. Duties also include the following: coding diagnoses and procedures, processing reimbursements, managing release of medical information, maintaining quality assurance, and protecting patient data privacy.

Healthcare Informatics (certificate) graduates are trained in the noncoding electronic aspects of health information. Specifically, these skills include document scanning and archiving, data management, release of information, record completion, accreditation compliance, and quality assurance.

Upon successfully completing RCTC’s online HIT program, you are eligible to take the national examination sponsored by AHIMA and to earn the prestigious Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) credential. The RCTC Health Information Technology program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).
