MINI WORLD

A train has various routes all over India which are connecting various cities in India. There

are different types of categories of trains such as Superfast, Mail/Express or Luxury. Each

train has many employees.

Every train has various classes such as General, Sleeper, 3AC, 2AC, 1AC. Different

classes has different fares. For travelling through trains, each train requires a ticket.

A user registers themselves on an online reservation system. A user buys ticket from an

online reservation system through an unique id provided to them. A user may also buy atour package.

Various tour packages may be sold to the passengers by an employee. There are different

trains for the tours.

MAPPING E-R MODEL TO A

LOGICAL DESIGN

For each Entity Set in the ER diagram , create a separate table.

For each 1:1 relationship, Keep the column in the table that has Total Participation andremove that has partial participation

For each 1:M relationship, Delete the column from the table that is on the M side.

For each M:N relationship, create a new table.
