    The Indian Institute of Teacher Education was established vide Gujarat Act,

    2010. The main objectives of the IITE are-To evolve and implement a new

    program of teachers' education that aim at development of new integral

    development of teachers- To train prospective teachers based on globally

    benchmarked curriculum with ideas gleaned from the fusion of the intellectual

    traditions of India and the West- To equip teachers with the competencies

    requisite for dealing with the 21st century issues of the choices and challenges

    of students-To impart teacher training which enables the prospective teachers

    to see the obtaining world in the new light of universal human values-To

    promote the indigenous tradition of teacher-student relationship (Guru-

    Shishyaparampara) in various fields of humanities, arts, crafts, sciences,technologies and yoga (psychological and physical education)-To publish and

    disseminate results of advanced research relating to teachers' education for

    purposes of advancement of capacities to teach and learn among professional

    teachers as also among parents, social educators and social workers-To

    promote national and international cooperation in teachers' education as also

    in the development of teaching-learning material through online programs,

    documentaries, musical and dramatic programs and films-To undertake,

    conduct and promote any program that will enhance the highest aims of

    pedagogy and synthesis of knowledge-systems and internationalism-To

    introduce and nurture innovations in the education system so as to reflect

    India's spiritual knowledge, robust intellectuality and inexhaustible creativity.

    IITE has been envisioned to introduce and initiate future teachers into the

    process of transformation into evolved beings who can lead and guide the

    children of tomorrow towards the knowledge century in the true sense. With

    mainstay of the teacher education, IITE has a vision of empowering the nation

    and the world with teachers who can take the onus of shaping the next

    generation of students with a sense of responsibility for the nation and an

    orientation for internationalism.

      DETAILS OF QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER

    REQUIREMENTS:

    1. 

    A.  Academic and Professional Qualifications will be as prescribed for the

    post of lecturer.

    PRINCIPAL/HEAD

    B.  Ph.D. in Education and

    C.  Fifteen years teaching experience out of which at least five years

    teaching experience in a Secondary Teacher Educational Institution.

    Provided that, in the event of non- availability of eligible and suitable

    candidates for appointment as principal / Heads as per above eligibility

    criteria, it would be permissible to appoint retired Professor / Head in

    Education on Contract basis for a period not exceeding one year at a

    time, till such time the candidates complete sixty five years of age.

    A.  Master’s Degree in History with 50 % marks (or on equivalent grade in a

    point scale wherever grading system is followed).

    2. Assistant Professor (History)

    B.  M.Ed. with at least 55 % marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale

    wherever grading system is followed) and

    C.  Any other stipulation prescribed by the UGC / any such affiliating body /

    State Government, from time to time for the positions of principal and

    lecturers, shall be mandatory.

    OR

    A.  M.A. in education with 55 % marks (or an equivalent grade in a point

    scale

    wherever grading system is followed).

    B.  B. Ed. with at least 55 % (marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale

    wherever grading system is followed) and

    C.  Any other stipulation prescribed by the UGC / any such affiliating body/

    State Government, from time to time for the positions of principal and

    lecturers, shall be mandatory.

    3. DIRECTOR OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS (University

    Director of Physical Education & Sports):

    A.  Ph.D. in Physical Education.

    B. 

    Experience of at least ten years as University Deputy Director or fifteenyears as University Assistant DPEs/ College (selection grade).

    C.  Participation in at least two national / international seminars /

    conferences.

    D.  Consistently good appraisal reports.

    E.  Evidence of organizing competitions and conducting coaching camps of

    at least two week’s duration.

    F.  Evidence of having produced good performance teams/athletes for

    competitions like state / national / inter-university/combined university

    or comparable experience.

    Age : Not exceeding 50 years

    A.  Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the Marks or its equivalent grade of

    ‘B’ in the UGC seven point scale; along with;

    4. University Development Officer (Planning & Development Officer):

    B.  Five years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in an

    equivalent post.

    ORComparable experience in research establishment and/or other

    institution of higher education

    OR

    Any other comparable experience

    Desirable:

    Experience in planning of University system/governance in the field of

    higher education will be preferred.

    Age : Not exceeding 50 years

    A.  Charted Accountant / its equivalent degree with five years professional

    experience.

    5. CHIEF ACCOUNTS OFFICER

    OR

    M.Com (Advance accounts & Auditing) with 55% of marks/its equivalent

    grade of B in the UGC seven point scale.B. And five years experience in the state Govt. Account Service Class-II.

    or equivalent comparable experience.

    OR

    Equivalent experience in recognized university or Comparable

    experience.

    Age : Not exceeding 50 years

    7. Curator:

    In case of non availability of suitable candidate IITE may relax norms.

    INSTRUCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: 1. The last date for receipt of filled in applications by the University is14/06/2013

    2. Applicants are advised to submit the applications to the University in time.

    The University will not be responsible for any postal delay at any stage.

    Application can be submitted at IITE during office hours.

    3. The required qualifications/experience and age limit  will be taken into

    account as on the closing date mentioned for receipt of applications.

    4. The Applicant must ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility conditions for the

    post.

    5. Candidates with requisite qualifications acquired from recognized

    University/institutions need only apply.

    6.Candidates should enclose attested copies of certificates towards the

    evidence of Age, Educational Qualifications, Community, Physical Disability,

    Experience, etc.

    7. Candidates who are desirous of applying for more than one post will have tosubmit separate prescribed application form for each post with separate

    application fee

    8. The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill any post.

    9. The University shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a

    candidate at any time at the time of appointment or during the tenure of the

    service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates

    are fake or the candidate has undesirable clandestine antecedents/

    background and has suppressed the said information, then his services shall be

    terminated.

    10. In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which may be

    detected at any stage even after the issue of appointment letter, the University

    reserves the right to modify/withdraw/ cancel any communication made to the

    candidate.

    11. The reservations policy for SC/ST/OBC/PWDs/Ex-Serviceman shall be as

    per Govt. of Gujarat/UGC norms. SC and ST candidates are eligible for 5%

    relaxation in the education qualification in case of principal, Assistnant

    Professor and University Development Officer's post.

    12. The qualifications and other conditions prescribed in the present

    advertisement are subject to regulations/norms stipulated by theUniversity/UGC from time to time. The prescribed qualifications and

    experience are minimum and the mere fact that a candidate possesses the

    same will not entitle him/her for being called for interview.

    13. The University reserves the right to restrict the candidates to be called for

    interview to a reasonable number on the basis of qualifications and experience

    higher than the minimum prescribed as decided by duly constituted Screening

    Committee/s and approved by the Competent Authority. Call letters for

    attending interview will be sent only to the short-listed candidates by Speed

    Post or Registered Post or Courier or E-mail service. No correspondence will be

    made with applicants who were not short-listed/not called for interview.

    14. Candidates applying for the Reserved Posts should clearly state to which

    category they belong. They must also enclose a Certificate issued by District

    Magistrate/Tahsildar /Mandal Revenue Officer/ competent authority as a

    proof, without which the applications will not be considered.

    15. In case a candidate wants to claim benefits under the Persons withDisabilities category, the candidate’s relevant disability should be not less than

    40 per cent. Proof to this effect must be enclosed to the application, without

    which the application will be treated as 'general (unreserved)'.

    16. Candidate applying for the post(s) reserved for O.B.C., must submit an

    attested copy of caste certificate specifically mentioning Creamy Layer-

    exclusion in the format prescribed by Govt. of India, issued by competent

    authority, vide Column 3 of G.O.I. Deptt. of Personnel and Training O.M. No.

    36012/22/93-Estt.(SCT) dated 8.9.1993 and modified vide DOPT's O.M. No.

    36033/3/2004-Estt.(Res) dated 9.3.2004, subsequently revised vide O.M.

    No.36033/3/2004-Estt.(Res) dated 14.10.2008, without which applications will

    not be considered. The form of Caste Certificate must be in the format as

    prescribed by the Govt. of India/Government of Gujarat; otherwise the

    application will be summarily rejected without further consideration

    17. The number of vacancies of the posts indicated in this Advertisement is

    tentative. The University reserves the right to fill any consequential vacancies,

    and /or to increase/decrease the number of posts and make appointments

    accordingly.

    18. Canvassing in any form on behalf of any candidate will disqualify the

    candidate.

    19. Candidates already in service may submit their applications (hardcopy/print out) through proper channel. A photocopy of the Demand Draft

    must be enclosed to the original application being sent through proper

    channel/employer. However such candidates can directly submit separate

    application.

    20. Incomplete applications will not receive any consideration at all.

    21. The duly filled in Application (for each post separate application with

    separate Demand Draft) shall be submitted by the applicant so as to reach the

    University on or before the due date mentioned in this Advertisement with the

    following requirements :

    22. A crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 300/- for candidates under ‘General’ and

    'SEBC' category, ‘SC/ST category candidates are required to pay Rs 150/- in the

    form of DD. (Whether the post is reserved for these categories or not), drawn

    in favour of “Indian Institute of Teacher Education”, payable at Gandhinagar

    should be sent with the application towards registration fee (non-refundable).

    23. Please write Name of the post applied for with subject and specialization (ifany), and applicant’s name with full postal address on the back of the Demand

    Draft without fail.

    24. Enclose self-attested photo copies (not originals) of certificates with the

    application as proof of each information (date of birth, qualifications,

    experience etc.) furnished in the Application. Please mention 'Sl. No. of proof

    enclosed' (as mentioned/filled in the application) at the right top corner of

    each copy of the certificate/document enclosed to the application.

    Annexure-1

    Instructions for the Recruitment

    1.  The last date for receipt of filled in applications by the University is

    14/06/20132.

     

    Applicants are advised to submit the applications to the University in time. The

    University will not be responsible for any postal delay at any stage. Application

    can be submitted at IITE during office hours.

    3. 

    The required qualifications/experience and age limit  will be taken into

    account as on the closing date mentioned for receipt of applications.

    4. 

    The Applicant must ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility conditions for the

    post.

    5. 

    Candidates with requisite qualifications acquired from recognized

    University/institutions need only apply.

    6. 

    Candidates should enclose attested copies of certificates towards the evidence

    of Age, Educational Qualifications, Community, Physical Disability, Experience,

    etc.

    7.  Candidates who are desirous of applying for more than one post will have to

    submit separate prescribed application form for each post with separate

    application fee

    8. 

    The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill any post.

    9. 

    The University shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a

    candidate at any time at the time of appointment or during the tenure of the

    service. In case, it is detected that the documents submitted by the candidates

    are fake or the candidate has undesirable clandestine antecedents/

    background and has suppressed the said information, then his services shall be

    terminated.

    10. 

    In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which may be

    detected at any stage even after the issue of appointment letter, the

    University reserves the right to modify/withdraw/ cancel any communication

    made to the candidate.

    11. The age relaxation policy for SC/ST/OBC/PWDs/Ex-Serviceman or woman

    shall be as per Govt. of Gujarat/UGC norms.

    12. 

    The qualifications and other conditions prescribed in the present

    advertisement are subject to regulations/norms stipulated by the

    University/UGC from time to time. According to State government norms, the

    candidate applying non-gazetted post must have passed CCC; whereas

    candidate applying for gazetted post must have passed CCC+ for computer

    proficiency.

    13. 

    The prescribed qualifications and experience are minimum and the mere fact

    that a candidate possesses the same will not entitle him/her for being called

    for interview.

    14. The University reserves the right to restrict the candidates to be called for

    interview to a reasonable number on the basis of qualifications and experience

    higher than the minimum prescribed as decided by duly constituted Screening

    Committee/s and approved by the Competent Authority. Call letters for

    attending interview will be sent only to the short-listed candidates by Speed

    Post or Registered Post or Courier or E-mail service. No correspondence will be

    made with applicants who were not short-listed/not called for interview.

    15. 

    Candidates applying for the Reserved Posts should clearly state to which

    category they belong. They must also enclose a Certificate issued by District

    Magistrate/Tahsildar /Mandal Revenue Officer/ Equivalent authority as a

    proof, without which the applications will not be considered.16.

     

    In case a candidate wants to claim benefits under the Persons with Disabilities

    category, the candidate’s relevant disability should be not less than 40 per

    cent. Proof, to this effect, must be enclosed to the application, without which

    the application will be treated as 'general (unreserved)'.

    17. 

    Candidate applying for the post(s) reserved for O.B.C., must submit an attested

    copy of caste certificate specifically mentioning Creamy Layer-exclusion in the

    format prescribed by Govt. of India, issued by competent authority, vide

    Column 3 of G.O.I. Deptt. of Personnel and Training O.M. No. 36012/22/93-Estt.(SCT) dated 8.9.1993 and modified vide DOPT's O.M. No. 36033/3/2004-

    Estt.(Res) dated 9.3.2004, subsequently revised vide O.M. No.36033/3/2004-

    Estt.(Res) dated 14.10.2008, without which applications will not be considered.

    The form of Caste Certificate must be in the format as prescribed by the Govt.

    of India/Government of Gujarat; otherwise the application will be summarily

    rejected without further consideration.

    18. 

    The number of vacancies of the posts indicated in this Advertisement is

    tentative. The University reserves the right to fill any consequential vacancies,

    and /or to increase/decrease the number of posts and make appointments

    accordingly.

    19. 

    Canvassing in any form on behalf of any candidate will disqualify the

    candidate.

    20. Candidates already in service may submit their applications (hard copy/print

    out) through proper channel. A photocopy of the Demand Draft must be

    enclosed to the original application being sent through proper

    channel/employer.

    21. 

    Applications incomplete in any respect will not receive any consideration at all.

    22. 

    The duly filled in Application (for each post separate application with separate

    Demand Draft) shall be submitted by the applicant so as to reach the

    University on or before the due date mentioned in this Advertisement with the

    following requirements :

    A crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 300/- for candidates under ‘General’ and 'OBC'

    category, ‘SC/ST/PWD’ category candidates are required to pay Rs 150/- in the

    form of DD. (Whether the post is reserved for these categories or not), drawnin favour of “Indian Institute of Teacher Education”, payable at Gandhinagar

    should be sent with the application towards registration fee (non-refundable).

    24. Please write Name of the post applied for with subject and specialization (if

    any), and applicant’s name with full postal address on the back of the Demand

    Draft without fail.

    25. 

    Enclose self-attested photo copies (not originals) of certificates with the

    application as proof of each information (date of birth, qualifications,

    experience etc.) furnished in the Application. Please mention 'Sl. No. of proofenclosed' (as mentioned/filled in the application) at the right top corner of

    each copy of the certificate/document enclosed to the application.
