Electric Vehicles.
DriveNow entered the U.S. market in
San Francisco in June of 2012 with 70
all-electric BMW Active E cars and
installed approx. 50 L2 chargers to
support them.
In May 2014 DriveNow added 80 cars
to its fleet and opened up street parking
through a shared-data “pilot”.
DriveNow replaced Active E cars with
70 BMW i3 Rex cars in August of 2015.
In October, 2015 DriveNow suspended
service because regulatory framework
conditions with SFMTA were not in
place.
