The Teacher’s Edition—in print, on DVD-ROM, and online—provides everything you need to help your instruction. Each chapter provides planning and instructional support in the teacher wrap.
The front matter of the Teacher’s Edition contains a Program Organization section that discusses chapter organization, scope and sequence, and program components for both students and teachers. It also contains a sample chapter from a student edition, a section on Using the Teacher’s Edition, and several professional development articles that provide additional support as you prepare to teach Realidades.
The Interactive Teacher’s Edition and Resource Library on DVD-ROM features a Teacher’s Edition eText. Click any of the links in the eText teacher wrap or go directly to the resources to access materials.

The Pre-AP Resource Book provides extensive Realidades chapter support and practice to help prepare students for the AP Language and Culture exam starting with Spanish 1.
Powered by SuccessNet Plus, realidades.com is a learning management system. After logging in to your realidades.com teacher account, you are on your Teacher Home Page. Click the icon at the top of the page to access the Setup Wizard. This tool guides you through all of the steps to add your Realidades product, create classes, enroll students, and set up your calendar.

The Realidades eText contains the same content as the print student edition. It also provides links to all of the student edition audio and video files and access to several study tools, such as highlighting, note-taking, and bookmarking.
The Interactive Teacher Edition with Resource Library eText provides links to all of the components referenced in the teacher wrap. All of the components are also available in folders within the eText left navigation area.
The DK Spanish English Visual Bilingual Dictionary eText provides access to over 6,000 vocabulary words organized around fifteen topics. Each vocabulary word is accompanied by an audio file. This dictionary is also available as a resource on the Activities and Tools for Interactive Whiteboards DVD-ROM.

To access your Realidades curriculum, click Table of Contents in the Curriculum column on your Teacher Home Page. Click the plus signs to expand the folders to find resources for teachers, students, and for each chapter in the program.
The Teacher’s Resources folder contains lesson plans, the Teacher’s Resource Book, PDF pages for all of the print resources, and more. Each resource provides various options from a drop-down menu, such as view, schedule, or assign. The Interactive Whiteboard Activities folder includes over 200 practice activities for vocabulary and grammar. The 21st Century Skills contains twenty-five assignable PDFs that focus on specific 21st century skills, such as Analyze Cause and Effect, Analyze Media Content, and more! Realidades provides practice for 21st century skills as part of the Theme Projects found at the beginning of each Tema.
The Mapa global interactivo maps and activities use geographic information system—or GIS—technology to transport students to locations throughout the Spanish-speaking world.

To explore the contents of a chapter, click the plus sign next to Capítulo 2A to open the list of all of the resources available for that chapter or section. For more information about all of the digital resources on realidades.com, please read the introductory sections in the Teacher’s Resource Book.
There are three time-saving digital resources that you can assign to students within each chapter. The yellow online Talk! icons indicate activities that use a voice-recording tool called RealTalk. Each chapter in the student edition contains approximately sixteen RealTalk activities that allow students to record and save their spoken responses that you can grade later.
Instant Check activities are auto-graded activities that provide instant feedback. You can assign them as quick formative assessments.
The Prueba with Study Plan is another time-saving resource in Realidades. You can assign these quizzes to your students for online assessment of the new vocabulary and grammar. If a student performs below a certain score on the first quiz, the computer system automatically assigns remediation and a second quiz.
Each chapter also provides several additional online assessment options. These assessments include chapter quizzes, the Integrated Performance Assessment, the chapter test, and the multiple-choice reading test.
