In our thirteenth year of operation, Real Estate Business Resources, Inc. (REBR) continues to grow brand recognition with our Kansas Association of REALTORS® (KAR) members through the systematic identification, development, and implementation of useful products and services.

REBR remains focused on providing an identifiable, credible, and branded partner for the real estate broker and agent to interact with in their daily business. We continue to research, identify, develop, and introduce products and services that enhance the member’s ability to increase productivity and profitability.

To accomplish this REBR has the following products and services available:

REBR MLS and Property Marketing Services

REBR provides MLS services to 857 subscribers in 15 of the 22 MLS entities in the state, constituting 11.2% of KAR membership. REBR provides value-added services in the area of initial system set-up and implementation, upfront and ongoing training, and customer support from a trusted source right here in the state.

REBR serves 11 boards which have their own free-standing MLS websites: Emporia, Flint Hills, Garden City, Goodland, Hays, McPherson, Parsons, Southern Plains (Pratt), Southeast Kansas (Coffeyville, Independence, and Mid-Eastern boards), Salina, and Southwest Kansas. The total number of customers served in these MLS’s is 615 up 2.5% from this time last year.

Four local associations are using KansasPropertyAds.com (KSPA) for their MLS site: Junction City, Dickinson County, Ark City, and Great Bend. Additionally, we have members from eight other boards that have opted to use KSPA to market their listings, as well as many At-Large members of KAR whose offices are located outside local board jurisdictions. There are currently 242 subscribers to KSPA, compared to 246 subscribers at this time last year.

"REBR's online training sessions have allowed us to get hands-on customized training from the comfort of our office. This is incredibly valuable for my agency since we are located 2-5 hours from metropolitan cities, and the cost and time required to attend this type of educational session is just not feasible. John’s training sessions are interactive, well organized, and very well received. I cannot say anything less than "bravo!" This venture with John and REBR has been a huge success and very beneficial for my agency. We are rural, independent, and a small agency - but we have the personal training opportunities of

Transaction Management & Electronic Document Storage

With the recent change to the KREC auditing process, online document storage is more important than ever.

REBR offers a complete transaction management/online document storage solution to all members of KAR with MyTransaction™. MyTransaction™ is REBR’s private-labeled, trademarked transaction management and/or electronic document storage platform, offered via an exclusive statewide agreement with CoreLogic. The program provides an integrated set of tools for brokerages and REALTORS® through all phases of the real estate transaction, from listing to close, and beyond. The user-friendly, online application enables subscribers to use a

common platform to manage transaction checklists, electronically store documents, as well as order products and services from their own local vendors. The exclusive contract with CoreLogic allows REBR to offer these great business tools at a very affordable price to both brokerages and agents.

Another online document storage solution REBR offers is with our Cartavi partnership. Cartavi is a simple way for real estate professionals to securely store, access, and share documents with anyone involved in the process of buying or selling a home. We give you one place to easily manage and exchange the documents that support transactions-from the desktop or on-the-go. Cartavi offers a simple, easy-to-use interface that works great on both the computer and mobile devices.

Legal Protection Program

REBR offers the popular Legal Hotline service and the Real Estate Brokerage Essentials: Managing Legal and Business Issues publication under the Legal Protection Program. The Legal Hotline was developed to provide quick access to legal advice from Attorney Vern Jarboe and his team of experts in the real estate field. Questions are either answered during the initial call, or within 24 hours, if additional research is necessary. A follow-up letter is then provided to the caller within 48 hours of the answer. Subscriptions are available for entire brokerages or individual agents, with their broker’s approval. There are currently 173 individual hotline subscribers plus REBR provides complimentary subscriptions for each of the 34 local boards. There have been 539 calls made during the reporting time period.

Training and Consultation

REBR continues to offer sales and technology and sales training for brokerages, associations, and MLS’s across the state. The most popular topics this year have been: “Your 2013 Technology To-Do List”, “Transaction Tracking”, “Everything Google”, Rapattoni Tips and Tricks”, “Real Estate Marketing with Social Media”, “How LinkedIn Are You”, “Paperless Real Estate Transactions”, and “Electronic Signatures with Docusign.”

RPR training has also been a highly requested session from REBR. REBR has been hired as an exclusive trainer

with NAR’s Realtors Property Resource® system. The course is an overview of what the RPR is and who it’s

available to, plus John demonstrates “live” in the RPR how to navigate through the menu system, overviews the available tools, shows the agents how to use the RPR as a prospecting tool, as well as how to create stunning full color seller reports including a detailed CMA for delivery at a listing presentation.

Broker/Agent Websites

REBR offers broker/agent websites that have all the features needed to capture more customers from website visitors. These websites are visually appealing, have full IDX integration, powerful search options, a mobile interface, effective lead capturing tools, and a lead management dashboard. REBR has 13 broker, agent, and MLS website clients across the state of Kansas.

First, REBR will work diligently to continue to provide the high level of customer service to our MLS customers. We know the MLS is the most important business tool that our members use. We enjoy providing excellent customer support to make sure members have access to the best MLS product available when they need it.

At the same time, we will look at opportunities to provide additional services to our existing members and expanding our MLS customer base beyond the 15 MLS’s we are currently serving. We know that we serve as an excellent service provider to support other local boards with their MLS services and we look forward to serving more members.

REBR will work to expand the customer base for our online document storage systems Cartavi and My Transaction™. With the recent change to the KREC auditing process, the growing demand for risk management tools for brokerages, as well as the demand for 24-7 consumer access to information, transaction management, and electronic document storage is a tool whose time has come and REBR is prepared to meet the need in an easy-to-use, value-priced way.

Second, we will continue to seek ways to position ourselves to be the go-to source for information related to technology and the real estate industry. More and more members are reaching out to REBR for information about specific technologies or specific real estate applications. We plan to grow our knowledge base and will continue to communicate our knowledge on the popular REBR.com website, with Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms.

Third, we will do everything to identify strategic business partners and negotiate discounts for our customers, where possible, and to educate our customers regarding the ways to take advantage of technology to help them work smarter and faster and therefore be more profitable.

Fourth, REBR will continue to work in conjunction with KAR staff to provide the association with technology information and skills that may have been outsourced in the past. Specifically REBR is working closely with the KAR Education Dept. on the new Keynote Education Series to develop video based online continuing education courses

that can be used in State REALTOR® Associations across the country.

Fifth, We are in the process of creating and delivering a broker consultation service and operating system that is easily implemented in small to medium sized offices delivering a new stream of income to REBR.

Sixth, we are researching new products and services for members to provide technology solutions to enhance their everyday business. These ideas include educating local associations on the benefits of MLS data-sharing and developing more online education with videos and live webinars, plus much more.

The Directors and Staff of REBR believe it is through the accomplishment of the above objectives that REBR will continue to grow and become even more financially successful. The Directors are excited to pay another dividend of $3,000 to you, the stockholders, in 2013. The Directors know that it is the support of REBR by the leadership and members of KAR which has brought REBR to where it is today. The wisdom of KAR Board of Directors to create REBR so that members can work with a trusted partner in the real estate business is the same wisdom that continues to assure REBR receives the support necessary to flourish. This wisdom also distinguishes KAR amongst other state associations.

The leadership and staff of REBR remain 100% committed to continuing the development of REBR into an even stronger asset for KAR and the members it serves.

REBR generated gross revenues of $318,511 for the period March 2012 through April 2013. This is a 22% decrease over the same previous 13-month period which produced gross revenues of $410,601. The loss in revenue can be attributed to the conclusion of the training contract with the RPR in the spring of 2012. Gross expenses totaled $315,759 which is a 9% decrease from the same period. Even with the challenging real estate market, MLS and Kansas Property Ads subscribers remain the significant revenue source for REBR, then Legal Hotline subscriptions, Brokerage Consulting, Royalties and Partnerships, and Broker/Agent Websites.
