Indigenous Family Violence Men’s Case Manager 0.8 EFT - Fixed Term 12 months Job Reference No: VAC0501 Flexibility of working days/hours Access to learning and development opportunities 2 types of Salary Packaging Available The Indigenous Family Violence Men’s Case Manager plays a vital role in the delivery of services provided to increase the safety of women and children and change the behaviour of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men who use violence against family members. The position is responsible for the provision of high quality case management and case work services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men in the Port Phillip, Stonnington, Bayside and Kingston communities. To be suitable for the role you will possess the following: Be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background. This is an identified Indigenous position (must state in CV/Cover Letter) Have a good understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and society Degree or Diploma in social work or other related qualification. Eligibility for membership of either the AASW or other relevant professional association. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the provision of case management. Sound understanding of the theory and practice of working with men who use violence towards women and children. Demonstrated ability in group work planning, facilitation and evaluation. The Indigenous Family Violence Men’s Case Manager plays a vital role in the delivery of services provided to increase the safety of women and children and change the behaviour of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men who use violence against family members. The position is responsible for the provision of high quality case management and case work services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men in the Port Phillip, Stonnington, Bayside and Kingston communities.
