Capitol Tree Christmas Ornaments - Stop in on 11/3 at 10 AM to make Christmas ornaments for the Capitol Christmas tree! It is free to make an ornament for the capitol; if you would like to make an extra for yourself, a $2 donation is requested. Please sign up by 11/1. Memory Screenings - We have once again partnered with the Alzheimer’s Foundation to offer free memory screenings on 11/8. Screenings are not meant as a diagnosis, but simply as way to start a conversation with your doctor(s). Screenings will be available from 10:30-11:30 AM. Movie & Popcorn - Come in on 11/9 at 12:30 to watch Home for the Holidays. We will make popcorn to go along with the movie. Sands Casino Trip - We will be hosting a trip to the Sands Casino in Bethlehem on 11/13. The trip will leave at 8 AM and return at 7 PM. Motor coach transportation provided by Bailey. Cost per person is $28; deadline to sign up is 10/30. Haircuts with Linda - Linda from Adorn Anew will be in starting at 9:30 AM on 11/14 to pro-vide haircuts for both men and women. If you would like more information or to set up an ap-pointment, please call the center no later than Thursday, 11/9. Ice Cream Social - Have a sweet treat with us on 11/15 at 12:30...after you’ve cleaned your plate that is! Sundaes are $2 and root beer floats are $1. We are Thankful! - In the spirit of Thanksgiving, join us on 11/16 for our annual Thanksgiving meal at noon and share what you are thankful for! As in the past, we will post these through Thanksgiving. Paul in the Saddle - Stop in on 11/17 at 12:30 to hear your favorite hits played live! National Fudge Day - Come in on 11/20 to indulge in some delicious peanut butter fudge! Fresh Express - The next Fresh Express food distribution date is 11/21 at 9:30. The deadline to sign up is 11/13. ‘Black Monday’ Thrift Shop Sale - Come in on 11/27 for our annual after Thanksgiving 50% off thrift shop sale! Sleeping Bags for the Homeless - The volunteers who make sleeping bags to distribute to the homeless will be in on 11/28 at 10 AM. Stick Candle Holder Craft - We will make special candle holders on 11/29 at 10 AM. A $2 do-nation is requested to cover costs. Please be sure to sign up no later than 11/27. WITF Mind Matters - Experiencing Hubble - Join us on 11/30 at 12:30 as retired airline pilot Lou Thieblemont speaks about the history of the Hubble telescope. See the enclosed insert for more details.

Please keep in mind that our funding from the York County Area Agency on Aging is tied to the number of meals we serve. The more meals we serve, the better; every single meal counts! We do accept modest donations for the meal. Please take a look at your November lunch menu and make it a personal goal to come in once per week. Please note we need your meal reservation at least one business day in advance by 10:30 AM. You may either call or stop in to make your reservation. We hope to see you soon!
