4) On the left hand side of the page, there are 9 steps that must be checked off to complete the registration process on Arbitersports.com. Please be sure to read all the text and instructions under each step. It will be able to answer the majority of questions you could have pertaining to registration. ALL steps must be completed.

5) Continue to check off each step and pay the registration fee. Update all the personal information pertaining to you. The USSF ID Number is your personal ID number. It can be found on the USSF Referee Registration Card that US Soccer sends via US Postal Service. If you have trouble locating your number, please contact the NCSRA Operations Manager Dave Hall. His information is located at the end of this PDF.

6) Next, you will see a step that has multiple override codes (Grade/Age Code), and each of those numbers are intended to be used as a passcode to get into an online referee course inside ncreferees.gameofficials.net.

-If you are intending to take online sessions AND also attend a class room, please choose the hyperlink that says recertification w/ class room. Be sure to write down the override code for this course, and choose this course type later in the registration process in the GameOfficials system.

-If you do NOT want to take the online sessions and choose go to a class room session, please click the hyperlink that says In Class Only. Don’t forget to write down the override code for this course, and choose this course type later in the registration process in the GameOfficials system.

-If you have been registered as a USSF Referee for a total of 5 years or more OR if you have continued to register as a USSF referee for 3 years in a row (Example: 2011, 2012, 2013) you may qualify for the Advanced Referee Online Recertification Course. If you do qualify there is a email link in the paragraph, “click here to send an email.” Do NOT click this unless you know you qualify. The recertifying referee courses are found inside the ncreferees.gameofficials.net website. Getting to that website is the next step.

7) Completing all steps and clicking the finished button will redirect you to ncreferees.gameofficials.net. https://ncreferees.gameofficials.net/login.cfm

From there log in using your Username and Password.

8) Under My Info on the left hand side of the page, update all of your profile information. Please ensure that your profile information located in Arbitersports.com matches the information you’re placing in this account in GameOfficials.

9) The next thing to do is enroll into a course. Click Courses on the left hand side of the page, then click the Referee Courses link.

10)You will then see a list of courses for that current year. Please click on a Referee Course, then a list of available courses broken by date and city are shown.

11)Click on a course number that correlates to the date and city you wish to attend.

12)Next you will see that the course is restricted to only those referees that have the correct override code (Grade/Age Code). This is where you place the override code that you received during the registration process in Arbitersports.com. Be sure that you wrote down the correct number for the course you’ve chosen. If you are attempting to enroll into a course with class room 48 hours before the date of the course, you will need to have a walkup code in addition to the override code. The walkup code will only be given to you by the NC Referee Operations Manager Dave Hall. He can be reached at [email protected]

13)Once inside the course you will see a “Load Session Tracker” button, and that is where the course learning modules and exam are located. When attempting to resume the online coursework at a later date, load session tracker can be found under Confirmed Reg on the left hand side of the page.

14)When inside the session tracker you will see a group of sessions. Complete each session in order. Each module can be taken multiple times. The online exam is the second to last session, and all sessions must be completed before attending the in-class portion of the course.
