www.YankinsReclaimedWood.com Reclaimed Redwood Lumber Yankin’s Reclaimed Materials is a family-run full-service supplier of reclaimed, recycled and salvaged lumber. We have a huge inventory of green building products cut to-order from old-growth redwood logs and reclaimed redwood lumber. This lumber has unparalleled architectural quality and character, making it perfect for applications in timber frames, exposed trusses, open beam ceilings, exposed headers, trellis work, mantles, siding, millwork and furniture. Build Green with Reclaimed and Salvaged Redwood from YRM The use of recycled wood is ecologically sound and critical to sustaining the remaining stands of our old growth forests. All of YRM’s lumber products are reclaimed or salvaged which helps to reduce the pressure to harvest these old growth trees. In the absence of recycling, many of these materials might have gone into landfills or burn piles with the associated negative environmental impacts. YRM is a member of the US Green Building Council, which promotes the reduction of waste and the reuse and recycling of building products. The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System is the USGBC’s benchmark for designing, building and operating green buildings. Using reclaimed wood can earn credits towards achieving LEED project certification. REDWOOD? GOT www.YankinsReclaimedWood.com [email protected] (530) 587-3700

Timbers, Timbers, TimbersOur structural lumber is available in a wide range of dimensions from 2”-36” in thickness and width and lengths of up to 40’. Our salvaged redwood logs can be cut into massive timbers up to 36”x36” and are perfect for your exposed beam and open framed projects. These timbers often exceed the structural qualities necessary to meet local building codes because codes now are based on wider grain, second- and third-growth lumber. Your architect or structural engineer should perform load and bearing calculations that takes the unique characteristics of this material into account.

Wainscot/Ceiling/Roof Sheathing/FlooringWe cut most of our indoor material of this kind ¾”-1” thick and widths from 4”-24”. Often this lumber has an edge finish like tongue-and-groove (T&G) and a smooth surfaced face, and is available in various lengths from 4’-20’. Special order vertical-grain only or wider dimension materials are available.

Some examples of what you can do with wood from Yankin’s Reclaimed Materials:Timber framing, beams, rafters, siding, flooring, decking, wainscot, paneling, ceilings, bar tops, counter tops,

mantles, furniture, fencing, arbors, trellises, window trim, doors, cabinets ... and more.

Where does the wood come from? Our salvaged redwood logs come from the old inventory of shuttered lumber mills in the Pacific Northwest. These logs were harvested decades ago and have been collected and are now inventoried at our 96-acre processing facility near Truckee, California. The lumber cut from these logs is unmarked. The reclaimed redwood comes from multiple sources, normally old buildings in the Pacific Northwest that were built from first-growth redwood forests around the turn of the century. This antique redwood has been air dried for decades and may show markings from its previous construction uses, nail holes, bolt holes, or other rustic qualities which give it a unique character that is impossible to duplicate with new vintage lumber. These old structures have been carefully dismantled and the lumber preserved for reuse in your next green building project.

Special : Redwood Siding in StockWe have 1” salvaged redwood siding available in

4”, 6”, 8”, 10” and 12” widths and lengths from 4’ to 20’ for $7 to $9 per board foot. This resawn material is fresh cut from our salvaged log inventory, unmarked, clear heart old growth redwood cut a full 1” thick with square edges.
