Saddle Stitch

Binding done with staples.

Folded and collated sheets are stapled through the middle.

We recommend using this on less than 80 pages. But this is dependent on paper stock weight.

Common Uses: Magazines, Small Soft Covered Books, Brochures

Perfect Bound

Binding done with adhesive.

Folded sections of the spine will be cut off and roughened. Glue is then applied and the cover attached.

We recommend using PUR glue(Poly Urethane Reactive) which can withstand temperature changes and is 3 x stronger than ordinary glue.

Common Uses: Paperback BooksLarge Magazines, Training Manuals

Plastic Comb

Binding done with a flexible plastic comb.

A stack of paper is punched along the edge and the plastic comb is inserted.

A cheap method for low quantities, and is typically limited to 3in paper thickness. This method can be easily damaged and is expensive for large orders.

Common Uses: Reports, Documents, Presentations

Spiral Bound

Binding done with a plastic or metal looped spiral.

A stack of paper is punched along the edge and the looped spiral is screwed in.

We recommend using plastic for the spiral as this material is less prone to damage.

Common Uses: Technical manuals, Notebooks, Presentations, Calendars
