Why study Drama?
Drama will give you the skills to be able to communicate, share and present your thoughts and
ideas. You will gain confidence, be given a voice and the skills to perform!

Assessment
You will be formally assessed 4 times throughout this year. The assessments will be based on a
current unit of work. You may also be questioned on what skills you have previously learnt
throughout the year.
Your GRADE will be calculated as a BTEC grade:
L1 PASS, L1 MERIT, L2 PASS, L2 MERIT, L2
DISTINCTION
You need to keep a record of your assessments. This is done at the front of this booklet.
Targets
Your target grade is calculated using your KS2 data. This is the grade you need to AIM for. If you
manage to reach / exceed your target, it will be reviewed and a further subject target set.
Verbal feedback and Peer assessment
You will be required to keep a log of any verbal feedback you are given. This may be suggestions of
how to improve your work, or an acknowledgement of good work. Keep this noted at the back of

By the end of year 7 Students must be able to do the following;
Create a basic role demonstrating some appreciation of how this might affect choice of language and physicalisation.

You can stain the paper with tea to make it look old. If you do this, you will
need to stain the paper before you draw on it.
