DRAMA RULES AND EXPECTATIONS

Why study Drama?

Drama will give you the skills to be able to communicate, share and present your thoughts and

ideas. You will gain confidence, be given a voice and the skills to perform!

Always join in and get the most out of your lessons

1) Listen carefully to instructions

2) Participate in discussions…. (I want to know your opinions)

3) Allow others to talk

4) Listen to the ideas of your partner and group (work well together)

5) Ask for help (Don’t just sit there doing nothing)

6) Share your ideas and show your performances

7) Be proud of your work. This is your chance to show your creativity…. Drama is FUN… Enjoy it!

Assessment

You will be formally assessed 4 times throughout this year. The assessments will be based on a

current unit of work. You may also be questioned on what skills you have previously learnt

throughout the year.

Your GRADE will be calculated as a BTEC grade:

L1 PASS, L1 MERIT, L2 PASS, L2 MERIT, L2

DISTINCTION

You need to keep a record of your assessments. This is done at the front of this booklet.

Targets

Your target grade is calculated using your KS2 data. This is the grade you need to AIM for. If you

manage to reach / exceed your target, it will be reviewed and a further subject target set.

Verbal feedback and Peer assessment

You will be required to keep a log of any verbal feedback you are given. This may be suggestions of

how to improve your work, or an acknowledgement of good work. Keep this noted at the back of

your book to show evidence of your progress.

Share an opinion on the work of others through written or verbal methods, showing awareness of preferences and identification of skills.

Create a WANTED POSTER.

This is a chance for you to be creative and use your imagination.

There are many ways you can create your poster:

You need to ensure you include the essential

information.

- Make sure it is based on the WILD WEST. - Why is the person WANTED? - Is there a reward?

1) Find a template online. Add a photo and print it.

Or

2) Draw your own picture

You can stain the paper with tea to make it look old. If you do this, you will

need to stain the paper before you draw on it.

You can also burn the edges, however, you MUST get an ADULT to do this for

you.
