bdhtisanaffordablehousinglandlordbasedinBromsgroveintheWestMidlands.Theorganisationownsandmanagesover4,000dwellings,whicharecomprisedofsocialrent,marketrent,sharedownershipandspecialistaccommodationforthosewithdifferentneeds.bdht also manages homelessnessundercontractonbehalfoftheLocalAuthority.Weareastrong,well-respectedandfinanciallyviableindependentbusiness.

WehaveanimportantrolewithinthecommunitiesofBromsgroveandthesurroundingareasandwearestronglycommittedtoremainingindependent.TheorganisationwascreatedinApril2004whenitpurchasedtheoriginalstockfromBromsgroveDistrictCouncil.Sincethattimebdhthasbeenveryactiveinbuildingnewhomes,increasingthetotalstockbyover10%inthelastfiveyears,providingmoreaffordablehousingsolutionsforpeopleinneed.

Thebusinessisregisteredasacharityandoperatesonanot-for-profitbasis,butisfirstandforemostacommercialbusiness,albeitonethatfocusesuponsocialoutcomes.
