KAPPA ALPHA THETA RECRUITMENT REFERENCE BOARD(RRB)PROCEDURES 

ALL REFERENCES ARE DUE MAY 1:  References are immediately processed by the RRB and mailed to the college 

chapters in June, whether the school has August or January recruitment. Only references meeting the chapters’ 

deadlines will receive additional bonus points.  Please deliver references to the RRB member for the college 

which the PNM will attend. 

All Theta References MUST include: 

2 copies of high school Transcript w SAT/ACT scores. (If scores are not on transcript, 2 copies of the 

score from the testing company must be included in package); 

2 copies of Resume 

Support Letters, if available (not required, but helpful to have 2 or 3); please make duplicate copies of 

support letters 

Pictures: 2 or 3 4x6 (head & shoulders and full length). 

2 copies of the Reference Form, signed 

2 copies of the Dallas information form, completed 

(We are asking for two copies of everything in the reference packet with the exception of photos ‐ a simple 

xeroxed copy is sufficient. If not provided you will be contacted to make copies and resubmit.) 

If you do not have all the information/honors or if the PNM is undecided on her school, still deliver the reference 

by May 1 to the Chairman and provide the additional information as soon as you can. 

As the Reference writer, you are the one to whom support letters should be sent.  Two or three letters are 

adequate, but not required.   

Be sure to list the PNM’s high school activities, summer activities, high school friends and college roommate (if 

known) on the Dallas Information Sheet. Filling out the form completely is required. 

Check with the Dallas Reference Board Chairman if you have questions about a particular school.
