Recycle Florida Today Summer Conference
2014
• The biggest thing for me when planning a program
is can I do this by myself?
• If not… is this a program that I can get help with?
• The answer is usually.. We can give you some
support… but you are it and do it as cheap as you
can!
• So… I want to go over our most successful
programs.. How they came to be and where they
are going and show that you do not need lots of
money or staff to have a fun and successful
outreach program.
When on a limited budget and staff it is
important to find the right program and right
audience to get the biggest bang for your
buck!

Trash-A-Thon
Dump Your Kid at the
Perdido Landfill for the Day!
In an effort to find new and exciting ways of
reaching our youth, the Escambia County
Recycling Summer Camp was created in the
summer of 2009.
Recycling Summer Camp is a one-day
excursion to the County’s Perdido Landfill
where kids participate in fun-filled activities
designed to teach the importance of earth
friendly waste diversion.
Recycling Summer Camp is a free program
offered to area youth ages 5-10.
