Objectives
Our target was to recycle as much plastic from our disposables as
possible, while following hygiene and safety rules and contaminated
waste regulations.

Methods (1)
We started our plastic caps recycling project in the NephroCare
Dialysis Centre in Bursa where we treat almost 50 patients per day.

Methods (2)
For easy handling and to save time, the collection bags and boxes
are located close to the other waste bins.
The caps are picked up from our center together with the
concentrate canisters.

After collection our plastic drum collecting company
uses these caps to produce waste pipe, electrical
conduits, and plastic roll of fabric with various other
materials, like PVC.
By this way, these caps can be recycled.

Conclusions (1)
With our project we have contributed to the recycling of plastic caps.
Moreover, emissions and energy from the polyethylene production
process are saved, while low consumptions from the recycling
process must be added.
