Redefining contemporary luxury: All-new BMW 7 Series launched in Kuwait
Flagship model to showcase hallmark BMW luxury and innovation in their most elegant form
Following the confirmation of BMW Group that the new and refined flagship sixth generation
BMW 7 Series had its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show in mid-September, it will
be just a matter of time before the car will also be available through Ali Alghanim & Sons
Automotive – the exclusive importer for BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce, Land Rover and Mclaren
automobiles in Kuwait.
Accordingly, advance bookings for the car can already be made by simply visiting the Ali
Alghanim & Sons Automotive BMW showroom during its regular business hours of 8 am to 1
pm, and from 4:30 pm until 8:30 pm.
“We are truly excited about the upcoming arrival of the new BMW 7 Series,” said Mr. Yousef
Al Qatami, General Manager of Ali Alghanim & Sons Automotive Company. “And to match
such excitement of BMW lovers and customers as well, we have decided to start
entertaining advance bookings for the car. This is to accommodate the expectedly huge
influx of customers wanting to be among the first owners of this fantastic car.”
Combining state-of-the-art comfort with dynamic agility and styling, the latest instalment of
the sophisticated sedan will arrive in three luxury packages: Pure Excellence, M-Sport and
Individual Design.
Consistently amongst BMW Group’s best-selling vehicles, the new BMW 7 Series will once
again set new benchmarks within the premium segment when it arrives in showrooms later
this year. Offering innovative design and technology features both inside and out, luxury-
conscious customers in Kuwait can look forward to enhanced refinement with elements such
as the futuristic headlamp technology, BMW Laser Light, the glamorous welcome of the
Light Carpet and star-gazer-inspired panorama glass “Sky Lounge” sun roof.
Inside the vehicle, superior technology offers both driver and passenger extraordinary levels
of comfort and luxury. A host of new BMW ConnectedDrive driver assistance features
include the intuitive Touch Command: a 7-inch Samsung tablet positioned in the rear of the
vehicle, offering passengers a completely new experience in controlling multiple in-car
functions. Through Touch Command, rear passengers are able to control in-car infotainment
and comfort features, such as the new BMW 7 Series Vitality Programme, which offers
luxurious in-seat massage options. A unique Gesture Control function, which offers those
inside the vehicle with the option to increase the volume of the radio only by gesturing at the
screen, is also one of the new technology features.
The refined model’s utmost commitment to providing high-end technology continues on the
exterior, as pioneering headlamp technology, BMW Laser Light, shines a light on the
vehicle’s unrivalled design as it offers a high beam range of up to 600 metres, double the
length of regular LED headlamps. Driver and passengers alike can also look forward to the
BMW 7 Series’ Sky Lounge, a panorama glass roof welcoming them to enjoy the day or star-
filled night sky, as illuminated light patterns provide a luxurious interior light ambience in six
colours.
Proving that personalised innovation is as crucial as design and ambience, the vehicle’s
advanced chassis technology, which allows the driver to adjust the car’s set-up to their
preferred requirements, creates an ideal balance between sports performance and comfort.
Similarly, the vehicle’s progressive Driver Assistance Systems, including Lane Control
Assistance, ensures drivers do not have to change the customary positioning of their hands
on the steering wheel in order to undertake on-road manoeuvres.
Exuding confidence and power, the new model also comes armed with two comprehensively
revised engines: the 6 cylinder 740iLi and 8 cylinder 750iLi xDrive, with the latter
accelarating from 0–100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds at 450 hp, and the 6 cylinder equivalent
offering an impressive 326hp, with a maximum torque of 450 Nm at 1 380 rpm. The on-road
performance of both variants is enhanced through the incorporation of BMW
EfficientDynamics, such as the premium vehicle’s lightweight Carbon Core, which ensures
that the car is 130kg lighter than its predecessor.
Johannes Seibert, Managing Director for BMW Group Middle East, said: “We are looking
forward to launching the new 7 Series later this year. With the Middle East being the third
biggest market for 7 Series sales worldwide, we are confident that the sixth generation of
our flagship model with new levels of technology innovations, contemporary design and
improved comfort will set new benchmarks in the automotive luxury segment.”
