Stimulated by coming Tokyo Olympics 2020, Japan’s sports market is very active and plans and selections are now under process. The demand for the latest products, technologies and services is expected to increase as Japan's sports-related business gains momentum toward the coming world-class sports festival including Rugby World Cup 2019, the Kansai World Masters Games 2021 and, subsequently, the Asian Games 2026.

Stadium/Arena development & fit-out plans by 2025 in Japan
Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe made an announcement about the government’s plan to build and/or fit out a total of 20 stadiums and arenas across the country by 2025 at the meeting of the “Growth Strategy Council – Investing for the Future”. The government’s “Sports Basic Plan (2017-2021)” has set the target to increase domestic sports industry market from JPY 5.5 trillion (2012) to 10 trillion by 2020, and then to JPY 15 trillion by 2025.*

As a first-time-exhibitor, we received 300-400 business contacts and had 30 very promising business discussions. About 15 projects are under negotiation and annual sales of JPY 2-3 million is expected. About a dozen professional sports organizations including soccer, basket ball, baseball, and volleyball teams as well as the varsity personnel and stadium operation companies visited our booth. Meeting such wide variety of visitors has helped us developing new business.
